Re: Alice & Stallone

Sly is a fan. There is a pretty cool AC reference in 'Tango And Cash' as well if you can spot it :) (and yes it's a delibrate reference) What was the reference? Hmm.., I was SURE it was "Tango and Cash" but checking back it could have been "Cobra" instead. "In the movie "Cobra", his girlfriend asks...

Re: Lyrics

Some Japanese discs I bought in the '80's had lyrics transcribed (and butchered) by some Linda Somebody (can't remember last name) She'd just use ellipsis dots half the time when she didn't know the line. I believe it was Linda Hendricks or something along those lines. Wow, did she butcher the lyri...

Re: Killsmith 2

I bought both from iTunes, the first one is pretty bad :( the production is awful and the songs are played badly.. BUT, Killsmith 2 is much better overall and very listenable, it should've been the first album in the first place? I agree, the first Killsmith was fairly poor in my opinion, d...

Re: Killsmith 2

Anyone else hear this yet? I got mine yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. Not a fan of the first Killsmith, however this is a departure from the sound of that album. Enjoyed this one a lot, well worth a listen for anyone on the fence.

Re: Alice in the new Dark Shadows movie?

You're welcome! ;) That's always been one of my problems with certain actors. Jack Nicholson was awful in The Shining because he was just being Jack Nicholson. Same thing again in Burton's Batman . It was just Nicholson doing the same schtick as he'd done in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest .... Dep...

I was always under the impression that it was first released in 92 unofficially and wasnt available for purchase before that, though the show was obviously taped pre-pretties for you. im sure someome here would know for sure

Re: Orianthi To Continue Playing With Alice After Tour ?

I hate to say it but if anyone should be complaining about people looking bored during a show it should be Alice Cooper. I have watched the 1st show with Orianth from the left corner of the back of the venue. Literally 95% of the fans were just sitting there, and not just sitting there, but sitting...

Why dont fanpack sales count? Seems slightly unfair considering a significant amount of initial sales probably came that way.

Re: Old show / New show

I a made of you. he threw in a ballad to open the album out of left field (and boy did it work) i'd like to see him open the show similarly. its not a schmaltzy ballad, its pretty damn epic. it could work.

Re: Under the bed before Nightmare Returns?

This song definitely belongs somewhere. It's brilaint I read in then fan pack magazine where alice comments on the track and he said despite it being the first track they wrote, it didn;t quite fit, I have to say Coops judgment many have been off on this one, at least going by the very positive fan ...

Re: W2MN .. REVIEWED

My only "complaint" thus far is that under the bed is a bonus track. the song is so incredibly good it deserves to be on the main album. someone reviewed it a while back and nailed it perfectly. the piano and quiet vocal evokes steven/years ago before it launches into a real fist pumping chorus. hon...

And a lyric in runaway train may contain a hint..."but im a big celebrity known all around the land""well buddy you aint noone here you aint in demand"
Hes saying how can I lose control, everyone knows me. His demons say that doesnt mean a thing with where your headed.

Further to that, the album after the opener almost plays out like a warning, a what if? If he hadnt found his strenghth and salvAtion and continued down that path with his personal demons, he would end up on a runaway train where he was no longer in control, where this metaphorical nightmare happens...

Re: W2MN .. REVIEWED

I'm on my 3rd listen. Wow, how powerful of an opening song is I Am Made Of You ? Ridiculously powerful. The best Alice Cooper song I've heard, and my new personal favourite. It seems at first glance a deeply personal song about Alice's relationship with God, but I think theres more than meets the e...

Re: VIP tickets/experiences

Met Alice four times, he's a cool guy, very friendly, talkative and accomodating. Whether its worth paying for the VIP ticket is strictly up to you, nobody can really tell you it's worth it or not. It comes down to you. I've bought the VIP ticket in the past, but I was also lucky enough to meet him ...
