Re: The 'Secret' Next Album
If it's indeed with the ACG, some kind of track that hearkens back to Black Juju, Halo Of Flies, and Unfinished Sweet would be nice. Otherwise, just something that is not over the top, tongue in cheek, but I have a feeling we will get more in the vein of Genuine American Girl humor over the sardonic...

Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023
After the mediocre Along Came A Spider to Paranormal period (outside of 2 or 3 of the cuts from the ACG), this and Detroit Stories could be at least a respectable ending (if only that were the case). Nonetheless, that doesn't mean I think this is great. It's fine though. I'm Alice and Welcome to the...

Re: I'm Alice
I find the music pretty likable. The lyrics come across as typical solo Alice fare which more often than not is light-hearted and digestible to a more mainstream audience. When a song like When Hell Comes Home is written, it is great to hear, but that kind of dark vibe has only appeared scarcely in ...

Re: Nita Strauss Quits
My favorite live lineup for Alice was when Zigzag was in the band in the early 2000s. Doubt it will happen, but I'd personally like to see an organ/keys player brought back into the fold. Brings much more musical depth though.

Re: Michael Bruce's solo album in 1975
I don't think Michael's album is nearly as bad as people make it out to be. It's not a great album by any means, but I believe that from the music aspect, he showed that he could write good songs that were outside of the Alice realm. For example, Lucky Break musically could have been an Elton John s...

If you buy a copy from Good Records, they will include copies of the report card, hall pass, temporary tattoo, panties sticker, and trading card. https://goodrecordstogo.myshopify.com/products/alice-cooper-schools-out-180-gram-vinyl-limited-edition-die-cut-desk-cover-with-panties-pre-order?_pos=24&_...

School’s Out vinyl with panties for pre-order from Friday Music
I saw this in a Facebook ad. I was really hoping Rhino would get around to getting this done, because Friday Music’s vinyl isn’t of the best quality sound wise, but with this coming out, it could mean it’s going to be awhile before Rhino gets around to it now. https://experiencevinyl.com/products/al...

I’d also like to see Roxie and Crayn record an album with the original band. I wouldn’t have an issue with Hunter or even Nick Didkovsky for that matter being in the fold either. All of them have proven they can fill the void left by Glen.

Re: Touring band to feature on next album!
Two that I can think of off the top of my head are Ted Nugent’s Intensities In Ten Cities, and Neil Young’s Rust Never Sleeps which was mostly recorded during live shows, but the audience was mostly edited out, and there are a couple studio tracks from other sessions.

I agree Del. The Sound Of A does fit well. I have listened to the track listing both ways the last few days, and The Sound Of A has really grown on me in this context.

Re: Touring band to feature on next album!
I think it is the right thing to do, and I don’t understand why it took so long. It’s not some bright, clever, or enlightening idea to realize that a band that is playing together constantly will be a tighter unit and that rehearsing and building on riffs as that unit will make more cohesive songs. ...

Re: Touring band to feature on next album!
Really enjoyed the "band meeting". You could see the excitement on the faces of Ryan, Chuck, Nita and Glen when Alice kind of revealed what was going to happen next but you could see Bob was quick to shut it down. Some comment about we will change our mind in 12mins. It does make you wonder if Bob ...

Re: Detroit Stories Review
As I listened to the album, I felt that it is a rather strong one, but something felt “off” to me with the 4 songs that were included from the Breadcrumbs EP, so I listened to those 4 back to back with their earlier counterparts. The same issue arises with me as all the other albums Ezrin has produc...

Re: New album cover
I pre-ordered a few things through Earmusic, but due living in the U.S., everything came usually a week or two later. A couple of those things were delayed, so I didn’t receive them until over a month after the release date. It is irritating. Amazon on the other hand has always gotten my pre-order t...

Re: Social Debris
I'm not loving the sound production I heard so far ( and like many of you, I will skip the cover songs from the tracklist, main reason why HV is not really my thing), but still think it will be cool to have another different record by the man. To be honest, I loved ACTS..I think it was a good effor...

Re: Social Debris
I would really like to see another album with Ryan and Chuck in the mix, because Eyes and Dirty Diamonds to a lesser extent are the last two albums I like at least half of and feel the production is even tolerable on. Unless the rest of Detroit Stories is stellar, I’d say that between the last four ...

Re: Social Debris
I told Ryan one time that I thought him and Nicke Andersson (The Hellacopters, Imperial State Electric, Entombed) would be able to make a killer album together, so if I had a dream scenario for one more ACG album, it would be to bring in those two with DD, MB, and NS to write together. I’d like prod...

Re: Social Debris
My excitement had faded to disappointment by the end of my first listen, and after some more listens over the last few days, it hasn’t grown on me. I feel like all the elements for a good anthemic song are there, but no section feels completely finished or ends too soon. The “down down down” part ki...
