To hear Iggy Pop and Desmond Child in the same sentence is quite disturbing in an awful way.
Does this :axe: sum up the feeling well enough?

If they make a deluxe edition, maybe it will have everything from the sessions, and they can call it the “Welcome To Your Nightmare” edition. :rotfl:

Re: Love Transfusion

I guess that was what I was trying to get at. I have never understood why it ended up with Iggy. Did he try to add something to it to make it salvageable? Or is it pretty much the way Alice and Desmond created it with Iggy’s vocals added to the already finished product? I’m not a fan of Trash, and i...

Re: New song and video "Don't give up" coming!

I bought the W2MN and Paranormal vinyls and haven’t opened either, because while I listened to them on spotify and didn’t like them (except for a couple moments on each), I have all the other major studio releases on vinyl, so I felt like I might as well get those after this many years of collecting...

Re: Love Transfusion

first time I hear this song : sometimes you'd think Alice sings it... Something that could easily have been on Trash.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozdW0oJOVoY Yea, it was definitely an Alice and Desmond Child product for Trash. I think Alice did backing vocals on the chorus, but Iggy does indee...

Love Transfusion

I have always been curious how far into the process Alice got with Love Transfusion. Was it basically a final product that was given to Iggy to just re-dub vocals, or is there some differences from Alice version?

Re: New song and video "Don't give up" coming!

As for Don’t Give Up, did Alice say the track Hangin’ By A Thread was specifically made for this album or is it possible that it was a finished song that might have been laying around from one of the previous albums? My curiosity comes from the use of the touring band. If it is new, it means they ma...

Re: New song and video "Don't give up" coming!

I am assuming that it is going to be pushed back awhile mostly due to pressing plant shutdowns. The “Don’t Give Up” 7” has a release date of August 14th, so it is safe to say that the pressing plants are likely running quite a bit behind now due to shutting down. If any didn’t, they likely got backe...

[quote=guttertrash post_id=305696 time=1589791229 user_id=999] The newest iteration of the logo is odd to me because of the OOs. ...That being said, I personally prefer the plain fonts of the mid-90s for TLT and FFOA or the ACAS and TOD era. That's my point. I'd rather ...

Re: The Alice Cooper logo

The newest iteration of the logo is odd to me because of the OOs. I never understood why it was brought back 25 years later (albeit in the more splattered look for W2MN). I never saw it as an iconic logo since it had not been used on any albums since Constrictor. Maybe it is because that was the log...

I like it. Just adds to the question of “why has Ezrin, Shep, and Alice brought in studio musicians for the last two albums?” This band should be recording with him.

Re: The next tour could be another dream change up

Alice played 5 from Eyes when I saw him in 2003 on the Bare Bones tour, and I thought it was his last great show. Brutal Planet and Descent To Dragontown were incredible and better shows, but I liked the stripped down show as well, and getting to hear some old tunes like Long Way To Go and Halo Of F...

Re: Paranormal CD 2 with original Alice Cooper band plus some live songs. Very good or excellent?

There are many reasons that albums and bands don’t sound like they used too. One is the equipment and techniques used in most modern studios. Everything from mics to computer programs have led to a more modern sound. Newer gear also has a different level of compression. Take the original Big Muff fu...

Re: Have you changed your mind?

I still find MOL to be underrated. My first exposure to Alice was as a child listening to my dad’s copy of GH, so I knew MOL and TL’74, but I first heard the full album years later. When I first heard it, I gave it a chance because I had seen the Fistful concert on MTV or VH1 or something and hearin...

Re: New Last Temptation on vinyl.

For about the same price, you can get the Epic/Music On Vinyl repress that is a true copy to the original pressing, and it is black vinyl. The Friday Records vinyls do not use the same labels as the original, and they are generally inferior in sound quality. I also do not care for colored vinyl as t...

Re: Swing It featuring Alice Cooper.

I think his vocals are mostly fine on breadcrumbs. I’d assume due to it being his personal album where the Phil Campbell album with a lot of different vocalists probably didn’t put a lot of focus on the vocal production of each singer. I am a fan of his spoken word, guest appearance on Wednesday 13’...

Re: Breadcrumbs

I was never able to play the original Detroit after the first few listens as to me the chorus was cheesy. The new version sounds much better and I have probably already played it more often than the original. Personally delighted at the recent volume and variety of output in all its forms, it feels...

Re: Breadcrumbs

I think the covers sound good. The production is the best in ages. As for the two originals, I am not a fan of the updated Detroit City. The chorus of the original had a great hook, and it fit the song. The updated version feels disjointed and fall flats due to no hook. Go Man Go however is a winner...

Re: Flush the Fashion 40th Anniversary

I have tried to find information on Clones, but besides the songwriter, David Carron, I have found little information. Also not sure if the information I have seen on him is even real, because he was said to have played in Arlo Guthrie’s Shenandoah, but he is not listed on as a musician on any of th...
