Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023
I’m pleasantly surprised by the sound of a few of those tracks. And the ones that weren’t surprising at least sound serviceable. I agree with Patrick for saying Paranormal was a satisfying swan song. It’s all bonus to me at this point so I’m (mostly) happy. Still hoping for a reunion album. This alb...

Re: I'm Alice
The first time I listened to the song, I did not like it. I think, if anything that four second clip soured me a bit. Then I listened to it a few more times, some with my kids (who both love it) and it has totally grown on me. The guitars sound great, very much like the band days. The song has shade...

Snakes! Guillotines! Electric Chairs!
Hi Dennis, I really love your book. It’s especially wonderful to hear you tell your stories in the audiobook. I’m listening to it for the third time now. Thank you for that!! Has there been any talk that you know about making an Alice Cooper biopic? I think your book screams for adaptation. There’s ...

Re: Touring band to feature on next album!
The solo on the album version is Steve Hunter. Steve posted video of it on Facebook today. Steve Hunter playing the solo for "Hanging On By A Thread" He also posted this video of his solo from "Rock And Roll": Steve Hunter playing the solo for "Rock And Roll" Hunter Thanks for sharing. Re: Detroit Stories Review
Second impressions are kind to this album. I totally get what Alice was doing. It’s an album that harkens back to a day when rock was king. The covers kind of add the the setting - they take you back in a way. Opening with Rock & Roll conceptually makes perfect sense. It is wrong the dismiss the cov...

Re: New OG Album
I labored pretty hard over the track sequencing. I analyzed the key band albums to see where the fast songs fell, where the slow songs fell. The heavy songs. The pop songs. The dark songs. I didn’t want to just sequence them how Alice had sequenced them on the various albums they appeared on. I thin...

I've been at this for a few weeks now; was just waiting for I Hate You to drop to round out the set. The title is kind of a joke. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5EI4Xh07W10DGgP19PD3o2?si=IBIZLv5eQ_2HU4F5FJ5auQ You and All of Your Friends Genuine American Girl Social Debris Fireball The Sound of A...

Re: Detroit Stories Review
First impressions.... The production is robust. The musicianship is good. Overall very solid record. A lot of it feels more like a tribute to classic rock than an Alice Cooper album. Standouts for me are Go man Go, Social Debris, $1000 High Heel Shoes, I Hate You, and Wonderful World, the last of wh...

Re: Detroit Stories Review
Thanks everyone for sharing your feedback. My vinyl should be arriving any moment, but I'll need to wait until my two year old goes to bed or else I won't have a record or a record player anymore. For the record, I loved Paranormal - easily my favorite Alice album of the last 2 decades, including Ho...

Good song, right on target, loving that guitar solo. Came here to see what everyone was saying and blown away to hear Steven played on the song. Outstanding work man, you are living the dream for all of us!

Re: New single - 'Our Love Will Change The World'
I like the new single. Never heard the original, but I can see why Alice wanted to do it. I am not crazy about the previous single at all. Covers in general do not excite me. I enjoyed Breadcrumbs but am annoyed by the number of songs that carried over to Detroit Stories. My two favorite tracks on B...

Re: Hollywood Vampires meet and greet.
It was about $1500 or 3 times a normal Alice meet and greet. A fan would get so much more out of 3 AC meet and greets than 1 AC meet and greet. Then again, maybe they've received similar feedback and improved the process a little bit. Then again again, maybe not.

Re: OGs on the next Alice album
For those who aren't satisfied with the OGs only doing three tracks per album, if you make them all into one playlist, by the time the new album drops, there should be enough OG tracks to make up a faux album if that helps!

Re: Hollywood Vampires meet and greet.
I hesitate to say anything that could cost Alice business, but for me the Vampires meet and greet was not worth the money. It was basically in and out in 2 minutes. I was trying to chat Alice up and we both are making goofy faces in the pictures as a result. I waited in line for quite a long time as...

Re: Breadcrumbs
I loved Paranormal - listened maybe 50 times. Maybe more. Rise isn’t bad, but I haven’t listened to it since the week it came out. I like this EP more than anything on Rise. Production in general is great. Love the guitars. Love the backing vocals - they compliment Alice’s voice nicely. In terms of ...

Re: Rise - First reviews
Like others, I am struck by Congratulations. Definitely unique. Overall, it’s a good album with more surprises than the average Alice Cooper album. It’s really nice having some vocal variety between Depp on Heroes and People Who Died, Perry on Can’t put your arms around a memory, and Tommy on Git fr...

Re: Vampires Who's Laughing Now?
On first listen I was not in love, but I've listened to it a bunch of times now and it's definitely growing on me. Some of the lyrics are questionable and some production choices cheapen the sound a bit, but it is a welcome departure from the trusty Alice / Ezrin sound. It's also pretty exciting tha...

Re: Paranormal (Tour Edition)
I saw the track list as well and it’s odd that they added the two band songs at the end of the album, but on the vinyl, they’re both sequenced before the Sound of A. Who is making these decisions? Personally, I’ve gotten so used to their placement on the vinyl that it’s the only version in my mind. ...
