Re: Detroit Stories first song "Rock 'N' Roll" to be available Fri 11-13-20
Much better than I expected. Alice is in fine voice here. Arrangement and style are different enough to separate it from the original. Good thing Alice didn't do complete musical clone of the song and then just put his vocals on top of it. Great guitar work by Steve Hunter and Joe Bonamassa.

Re: Album opinion change
The Eyes of Alice Cooper has grown on me quite a bit. Originally I was very disappointed with it but now I find it enjoyable though uneven album. Sound and performances are very good on that album. I was excited about Along Came a Spider at first but now I think it is a very bad album. Brutal Planet...

Re: New album cover
I'm shocked but in a completely wrong way. Is Alice running out of song ideas? Or is he becoming insanely nostalgic? I was semi-excited before I read Rock 'n' Roll and Our Love Will Change the World will be covers too. What is going on in Cooper camp? I recall that Alice said some months ago that AL...

Re: Have you changed your mind?
Muscle of Love, The Eyes and Brutal Planet have gotten better over the years. The Eyes of Alice Cooper was a big disappointment for me originally. Now I think it is pretty good but not great. The effect of Dragontown has declined somewhat in recent years but I still think it is a very good album. Sp...

Re: Lou Reed - Rock and Roll Animal
Toronto Bob, my three favorite artists of all time are Alice Cooper, Frank Zappa and Lou Reed. So I'm with both Zappa and Reed. I'm not crazy about Rock 'n' Roll Animal. Lou Reed's vocals are way better on Animal Serenade live album released on 2004. He is clearly much more focused on that release. ...

Sorry for grammar errors. It's been awhile since I have posted anything on this forum. So my English may be a bit rusty.

Re: Vampires Who's Laughing Now?
A decent song, pretty cool but nothing earth shattering. I personally prefer Boogieman Surprise. I am very hopeful that this album will be better than the debut. But the bar is very low to be honest. The band doesn't need to pull of Killer from their sleeve to improve their game.

His current band is incredible and I hope there will not be any personnel changes this year. The band is tight, energetic and has a great chemistry.

Re: ‘Ol black eyes is back Tour
I'm not sure you got my post this time either padre_sliprat, but I don't bother to correct you. Very few old artists and bands with a career spanning several decades play their latest album in its entirety or even most of it. There are exceptions though. But it is more common that they play only one...

Re: ‘Ol black eyes is back Tour
padre-sliprat I didn't say Halo of Flies was some kind of rarity. I was just pointing out that it wasn't played on Raise the Dead tour (like the other songs that I listed) and that Alice Cooper changes more than 1-2 songs when the tour name changes. I know that he hasn't played much new material for...

Re: ‘Ol black eyes is back Tour
In my opinion during recent years Alice Cooper has been much more adventurous with setlist than stage show in a both good and bad way. The show hasn't included fresh new ideas for a long time. Instead we got variations of traditional AC theatrics. But the situation regarding the setlist isn't even n...

Re: Identity Crisis.....
While DaDa is my all time favorite Alice Cooper album, blackout era is not my favorite Alice period. Flush The Fashion, despite its short length, is quite an uneven album. Special Forces is a terrible record with only a couple decent moments. Zipper Catches Skin is pretty good but by no means amazin...

Re: Happy paranormal day!!!
I picked my copy from the local record store (a standard CD version) and have listened to it twice. Paranormal is diverse, upbeat and well written (at least from lyrical standpoint) album that has many references to old Alice Cooper songs, in fact loads of them. It's quite a retro and old fashioned ...

Re: Paranormal Personality - the first single
I actually really like the drum sound on this track. It is much more lively and loud than what we have heard recently from Alice. Vocals are nice but nothing unusual stylistically speaking. The most interesting part of the song is definitely the atmospheric intro which reminds me a lot of Pink Floyd...

I agree with you Holly Grail, the album cover is OK. I would also prefer something else on the background instead of plain white and lettering in the album title could be more exotic and vivid.

Re: New album update
Let's be grateful that Alice is in fact releasing a new album. He could have easily put together "A Best of" compilation with one or two new songs among the same old songs we have already heard countless times or even worse make a rerecording of one of his more notable albums. Making new music isn't...

Re: New album update
None of us have heard even a half minute of music from this upcoming album and some are already writing it off based on a couple of song titles and I wouldn't be surprised if they had already decided a rating for it. This is absolutely crazy. Song titles often don't reveal anything about musical dir...

Re: New album update
I put a link here to a blabbermouth article which is Alice talking about the upcoming album with Eddie Trunk. While information is mostly the same as in a Classic Rock article, Alice actually mentions that there are couple of scary songs on the record. I didn't see him mentioning that in the Classic...
