Re: Alice appearing on upcoming MC5 tribute album

The Great Zal Cleminson is on the album which is unusual as I thought he had retired years ago. Saw SAHB a couple of times in their heyday. Best show was support to the Who at Celtic Park. Lots of mad juiced up fans there for them, a really edgy atmosphere and a great set. I was there as well, fant...

Chuck would probably do a great version of Motorhead's "We Are the Road Crew."
We Are The Road Crew would be a great choice, maybe better than Road Rats ?
And if Alice and Co want to stick with a Doors cover, how about Roadhouse Blues.

I guess this is the live release Ezrin was talking about ..........................................
Surely this can't be the gig from 2015, 2016 or 2017 ? 33 quid :(

Re: 40 years ago today

I went to Hammersmith on the 14th and 16th as well. 15th had sold out by the time I tried to get a ticket - I think the whole UK tour eventually sold out.

40 years ago today

Brighton, 11th Feb 1982 - my first Alice gig. Couldn't get a ticket for Glasgow so had to travel from the (very) north of Scotland down to Brighton. It was worth it :)

Convinced this was optimised for oled and probably qled as i am not feeling the complaints (or minor bug) at all about the colours. It looks fricken fantastic on oled
I haven't a clue what oled and qled are, but the blu-ray looks great on my bog standard player and telly :)

Is there a date for this? Obviously after the English shows which were early Sept. [/quote] Sept 9th '75 Alice leaves Munich on the 9th, a day earlier then planned so that he can appear on the 'Russell Harty' show in the UK (which Alice described in Me, Alice as his best TV interview). Re: Live at Glasgow '82 - 2lp RSD 20202

Unfortunately, RSD has turned into nothing more than a massive rip-off. Limited and overpriced vinyl releases, mostly unavailable to the majority of fans. I'll never understand why these releases can't be made available at a later date in whatever format (vinyl, CD, download), possibly in different ...

Re: Tours & Venues - Where have they gone?

Glasgow Apollo. An absolute dump - broken seats, sticky carpet, smelly. But what a fantastic place to see a band. God, I miss it.

I have number 24
Thanks,
I was just wondering if Edel Records "shuffled the deck" when releasing the EP.
Congrats on such a low #
24 is 'slightly' lower than my 13143 ! I'm wondering if different outlets were issued with ranges of numbers.

Yes this is brilliant! Thank you Si.

Powerful and nicely reworked version of the band classic. Don't two guitars just sound great?
Yes, that really was great. I wonder if Ryan will mention how well Black Juju went down.

Re: From the Inside

I would be very surprised if we ever got a surround sound of any album (have any ever been done in the past ?). B$B and WTMN were done as DVD-A's with surround sound (and are excellent). MoL came out as a quad remaster on Audio Fidelity a few years ago. And of course B$B and MoL came out as Quad ve...

Re: From the Inside

I would be very surprised if we ever got a surround sound of any album (have any ever been done in the past ?). A new mix may be interesting, depending on who did it. Bonus tracks and a decent sounding live gig would be great. I'm sure coloured vinyl would be most welcome by fan-boys and hipsters :)

Re: Micharel Bruce book new edition

I got the book from Gonzo a month or so a go. It looks like a reprint of the 2000 edition, with an added short one page epilogue mentioning the Hall of Fame and Paranormal recording.
I'm not really interested in the box-set, which I think comes out next month.

Far, far too many for me to try to pick two for the main set, but how about Return Of The Spiders by the original band. 46 years (not quite to the day) since they first played in the UK.

Twenty seven quid for the box set is a total 'flipping' rip off.
Did I order it ? Of course I did. That's what I do - I'm an Alice Cooper fan. I don't like this one little bit but unfortunately it's the price I have to pay nowadays to feed my long-time addiction.

Re: HBO series Vinyl

I'm enjoying the series. I know it's not always based on fact but it is an enjoyable watch. I thought the portrayal of Alice was very good. Still think the cover version of I Love The Dead was just ok, but that doesn't mean I think it was bad. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

It's ok, but I wouldn't call it great. It reminds me a little bit of the Top Of The Pops lps that came out in the early 70's in the UK.
