Re: Alice at Sweden Rocks 2014

It would be fun to see Alice play Glasto, but i don't think it's likely.
I think Fleetwood Mac are nailed on as one of the headliners, so Alice would be a good fit for the same day.

Alice at Sweden Rocks 2014

Already on the news feed, Alice is playing this festival June 4th to 7th 2014. I would have thought this means he's doing the European festival circuit next year. A friend in the business told me that he is being sounded out for Download on the following weekend :) I would have thought headlining th...

Re: 30th anniversary of DaDa today

i think alice bob and dick were all pretty messed up when they did this album.
I like it. always have, and find it much better than any recent output, barring W2MN

Re: Tour Between Alice And Marilyn Manson COnfirmed In Alice

I like a lot of the early Manson stuff, but he seems to have lost his mojo a bit,. maybe Alice will help him to get it back. Fan mixing wise i don't think they'll be a problem, as MM fans aren't your typical metal crowd, and there is some cross over. For non fans i recommend MM's album Mechanical An...

Re: Billion Dollar Babies - 40th Anniversary

The first album i got was welcome to my nightmare when i was 10 in 75 after hearing my sister play it. I was soon spending all my pocket money on all the other albums, and while B$B is not my fave, i still listen to it now, and that's a testament to it's depth and song writing. Most of the stuff i l...

Re: Opening Night SPOILERS!!!!

If he's got to do covers, then i think that songs that's made his own would be much better. Hello Hurray obviously, but also Clones and the awesome Sun Arise.
What with the new Bond film, what about the most awesome bond song never used, The Man with the Golden Gun?

Re: The Alice Cooper album of the Day: FROM THE INSIDE

I approached the album with trepidation when i leant that Bernie taupin was writing some of the lyrics. Some of the schmaltz he's written for Elton John over the years had been vomit inducing, but on the whole they managed to avoid that. I've always wondered just how bad Elton must be as a writer to...

at the end of UMW my head starts humming 'wham bam thank you mam':) I think it's that rising key, would be a great song to segue into Alice has gone into Suffragette City live before during wheels as part of the song shares the same generic A to F chord change and Wheels came first! That's why it's...

Re: Songs that keep a Story

I've always loved the way Second coming morphs into Ballad of Dwight Fry, and, to me, it's obviously the same guy further down the road in his madness.
I've always thought that those 2 should be played together the same way live, would be very powerful.

Re: The Alice Cooper album of the Day: FROM THE INSIDE

1982? i think not ;)

A great album, maybe a bit too polished, but mostly great music and lyrics, and the last of the ggreat album covers.

Nurse Rozetta needs to make a live comeback, as does serious!

Excellant interview with Alice for vitually the whole first half hour of the show :). Danyy is obviously a fan, and that makes a huge difference with the questions.
Catch it on the i-player if you can

Alice on the Danny Baker show 27/10/12

Danny mentioned that Alice will guest on his radio 5 show that airs 9am till 11am.
I wonder if he'll do the infamous 'red' sauce,'brown' sauce, or no sauce quiz?

Being an american he's probably gonna go for red, but i hope brown as it's a bit more spicy!!

chart position

It didn't make the top 100 UK album chart, but is in number 7 in the rock and metal album chart.
Not bad i suppose seeing as everyone i know got the fanpack, which isn't counting towards the position.

I hope another single is released, so then maybe a bit of airplay will happen

Re: I Am Made of You... without auto-tune?

Being stupid, i didn't realise that this effect was what they called autotune. i thought autotune was when they made someone who can't sing sound like they can sing. I always called it the 'cher' effect, as she was the person who did this years ago when it was expensive, but now it's cheap, every ot...
