Re: Detroit Muscle Tour with Ace

So who has gotten their tickets so far? I'll be honest, I'm feeling a little iffy with the prices (specifically Milwaukee). I love Alice and the band, I go whenever I can, but I'm having a hard time stomaching $120 - $140 USD + fees for decent seats. I understand that's where the industry is current...

I always thought Warren Zevon and Alice would make for an interesting mix

Re: ‘Ol black eyes is back Tour

"Ol‘ Black Eyes is Back" Is this really the name of the tour ? As you probably know, "Ol' Black Eyes Is Back" was a tagline used to promote Goes To Hell album in 1976. This was a take on the "Ol' Blue Eyes Is Back" ad campaign for Sinatra at the time. With this tidbit as the foundation, we may as w...

That must have been the "special video " Kyler referred to in a a post the other day.
I didn't even see that post but I've looked back and found it, and I am sure that you are right. It was a cool, special touch to the show that seemed to be very well received by the audience.

Special Introduction for The Killers

The Fiserv Forum (formerly known by its placeholder name The Wisconsin Sports and Entertainment Center), had it's grand opening/first concert last night in Milwaukee, WI. The Violent Femmes opened for The Killers. The Killers received a very special video introduction though :alice: https://www.face...

Re: Tour 2018!

I do very much wish that Pain was still in the setlist. I'm not really surprised by there being no change in the setlist last night from the previous run of dates, since it is a continuation of the same tour. And more importantly, everyone was CRAZY BUSY on the "break" from this tour. Yeah, just wi...

Nita Strauss at Wrestlemania 34

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, I took a quick look and didn't see any conversation on it. Nita Strauss performed for Shinsuke Nakamura's entrance last night at Wrestlemania. I'm not sure if I can link "unofficial" videos of it, but there are plenty on Youtube. Here is a quick interview wit...

Re: New Billboard article reveals 2018/2019 tour plans

In regards to HV concerts vs. AC concerts, I think it can be agreed that both are definitely entertaining and certainly better than nothing at all. When I saw the vampires, my favorite part was that Alice wasn't really in character. Hearing his stage banter, stories, and jokes was a real breath of f...

Re: Alice tour grosses

For Springsteen, it should be noted that it is his Broadway performance, and not so much a traditional concert, which is increasing the price (Just look at how much Hamilton tickets have cost). On his last actual tour, tickets were about $150 max for face value. Plus the theater seats less than 1,00...

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. I don't post on this board much at all, but I have been coming here and reading for years. I did want to express my condolences though. I think it is amazing how great music (especially Alice!) can bring people together and form great friendships. I loved reading...

Alice in WWE's Top Ten Celebrities

Not major news here, but it's a cool little bit. Alice is listed at #7 in WWE's Top 10 Greatest Wrestlemania Celebrities for his involvement in Wrestlemania 3.

Re: If Alice covered this song, it would be so cool....

For a couple of listens I once thought that "Smokin' in the Boys' Room" could have been an Alice tune too.

I'd like to hear a cover of "Basket Case" by Warren Zevon. Every time I hear this song I think that it could be a song from Alice.
