This CD is different for me because the more I listen the more I like the music. It definitely gets in your head.

At the risk of being flamed:

Studio - ACG by far
Live - Close, but for energy and sound (not theatrics) AC/Roxie/Johnson or AC/Johnson/Kelly gets my vote if only because they were sober for the shows.

I would like it tightened up a bit and played straight through for 30-35 in the theatrical portion of the show.

12 rockers
11 ACAS
4-5 warhorse closers

VERY COOL.

Sadly I am not deaf, dumb and blind, but an old geezer with no video game skills, LOL! Good luck to the unemployed kid who gets the chance to meet the Coop!

Coop is so old school. Not one mutant alien or car chase in the video game. When was the last time that happened, LOL?

WOMD, DD, Sunset Babies and Pretty Ballerina are all better than anything on ACAS. There are some I really don't like on there as well. ACAS simply doesn't have the highs and lows of DD, IMHO. Compare Pretty Ballerina with the ACAS ballads which are the weakest part of the new CD. I will conceed the...

He should take Slash on tour in 2009, even if he needs his own "Smoking" bus, LOL!

That might explain the 2009 start, using 2008 to fund the new set and get it built?

I agree about the story and lyrics, also find Salvation the weakest on the CD, but I rather like the music and look forward to the likely stripped down live arrangements with Keri and Chuck rocking out even if there are not memorable riffs.

For what one person's opinion is worth, I finally got the download and listened to the music which to me is far more important that the concept or lyrics. I can't give a song by song break down yet as I have only heard it twice, but I love the overall sound of the CD!!! It does have a late 60s, earl...

When I spoke with him on the tour bus last fall in Birmingham we discussed what Tiger Woods needed to do to improve his swing and hit a higher percentage of fairways. The new CD never came up in the 20 minutes.

How sick is that, LOL? Dude is a serious golf monster, scarier than Spider!!!

I happen to think the slasher (primarily teen goths) market is more limited than the general rock market, but maybe his current record company will prove me wrong. Just my preferences and opinion, your mileage may vary.

With respect JJ, (apologies if this is veering off topic), and aside from glams point, didn't Alice just do that with the last two albums (DD and Eyes)?

Sure, and I didn't have the problem with DD that some do. I thought at least half the songs were treasures.

I'm still looking for music that makes me feel great, and a show that is entertaining and a diversion from the rest of life for a few hours. I don't go to slasher movies and they don't make me feel great. I get enough of that on TV everyday. I have no problem with throw away lyrics, and frankly don'...

I like DD. WOMD and LIA. There are others in the "Theatrical" portion I could do without. Everyone has their own taste and preferences.

I would be curious to know how many readers on this site would prefer songs with more broad based appeal like 18, Schools Out, No More Nice Guy, Elected, Wheels all written when he was getting his head chopped off for theatrical value as opposed to the Feed My Frankenstein/I'm Hungry gore writing. I...

If it is a rewrite or retread of anything it is Feed My Frankenstein which in itself is tired and in need of a rest. While I enjoy the new music, I have a hard time with the concept and have NO desire to sing along to this stuff. I wish he would write songs with a broader appeal for a demographic be...
