Re: Sorry,....Hollywood Vampires....

I agree in large part with Syd. As I have said before this is the worst thing since Flash, and I'd even rank it below that. A vanity project for Depp. I really can't believe people raving about his guitar playing. Definitely serviceable, but nothing more than any average bar band. Sure Alice has a "...

I'll be there, but go every year. Met Jack Douglas there and got to talk about a lot of Alice stuff.

Re: Alice Cooper's best guitarist??

Agree with Si. Nita is a great performer, very good guitarist, and seems to be a wonderful person in all of my meetings with her. However, as far as being instrumental to any part of Alice's legacy she has played a very small part to date.

Re: Vampires UK dates with the Darkness and the Damned

I don't think of this as an upside. For me the HV is the worst thing Alice has done in decades. Id this is someone's only exposure to him they are getting a lousy, and distorted, view.

Re: Alice tour grosses

Not sure if all the numbers are completely correct, but not surprised that Alice isn't in there. Besides playing smaller venues than most of these artists (in the US at least) Alice has very reasonably priced tickets.

Re: Cooper'stown - RIP?

Went there twice, they had some cool stuff on the walls, but nothing amazing, however, got some good swag (which dried up in recent years) and the food wasn't bad.

Re: Happy 30th Birthday RYFAY!

While I am really down on Constrictor, I think RYF&Y is a pretty good lp. I am not sure why the heavy metal format is a turn off to many. It seems people don't mind the nu metal of BP, which to me sounds even more derivative of said genre (it just oozes of Manson and Zombie). Sent from my XT1585 us...

Re: Why BBB did not work out

Disagree with this post: 1) Michael did a serviceable job as a vocalist (even mimicking Alice on Too Young). Since their tour was so limited and not really preserved, save for the live stuff on the deluxe package, there is no way of knowing how he would have been as a frontman. 2)"Dressed like a fox...

Re: Can alice still shock?

I don't think he, or really anyone else can shock, but you never know. Alice has been saying for years that everyone is pretty jaded and already overexposed to anything remotely shocking. However, he can offend. I have seen a few people on this board being offended by Disgraceland (which I love). An...

Re: Your Favorite Alice album rankings from 2000 to Present

W2MN, don't even mind DBBF & GGW, just hate the ballad DT, not as solid as BP top to bottom, but I play the best songs more frequently and sharper wit lyrically BP, Paranormal, FB alone moves it up DD & EoAC, both have some highs and lows ACAS, not good, but way better than... HV, worst AC project s...

Re: Bob Ezrin-Past, Present And Future

When I was using the term filler, I wasn't assigning such a pejorative meaning as some assume. Merely, my observation that many of the complaints about Ezrin today I see clear examples of in the past. By filler, I mean songs that are weaker and included to get a full lp of material, but if the band ...

Re: Bob Ezrin-Past, Present And Future

I have to say that I agree with most of the comments about Ezrin. He is a genius and deserves a lot of credit for the success of the original band. However, his talent can be counter-productive (via over-production and polishing up weaker songs) as many have complained on the last few Alice efforts....

Re: Reunion idea

Unfortunately a reunion wont happen unless there's promoters willing to put it on The promoters don't choose who Alice plays with. It is down to Alice and Shep how thw show money is split. Do they want to an even split with Mike Dennis and Neal or do they want to pay them a fee. Also would DD NS an...

Re: Reunion idea

Just my opinion. But i think whatever happened to Glenn is the teal reason why the band broke up and now that he is gone, to ever try to have a proper ACG again wouldnt work cos hes not their. One offs here and their fine but to do a full album and tour. Very unlikely based on that alone i think. I...

"when you keep certain songs in the setlist over time they become much better known." It seems like he did that with both Wicked Young Man and Dirty Diamonds, but neither grew to be in demand concert songs. "only if he had a good guitarist like nita" Nita is a great guitarist, as was Ori, but you do...

Re: ACG Nashville reunion

Hand in the pocket isn't that new. On one tour I saw, either King of the Silver Screen or Madhouse Rock he was constantly holding his right hand on his hip, he didn't have a pocket, but in the same place. Even at my younger age, I thought it looked awkward. Sometimes I think without a prop or when u...

Re: ACG Nashville reunion

I've always been a proponent of having the original guys and the Nashville show I attended was amazing. Having said that, while Michael sounded great (with a few cues from Ryan), he didn't move much and is sitting in many of the after show pictures, so I do wonder how he could handle a full show, mu...

Re: Deep Purple, Alice Cooper, Edgar Winter North American T

We got two nice seats for the Chicago show in September. We are absolutely pumped for this. Two all-time classics at one show? You bet. Only an idiot would turn away from that. I guess I am an idiot. Shorter set and higher price makes this a bad deal. No interest in seeing the other acts. Sent from...

Just got back from the Nashville show. They sounded and looked great. Did 18, B$B, NMMNG, MoL, and touring band joined in for SO. It was electric.
