Re: BSB 50th anniversary 2cd / 3 lp out in March

I expect Covid really scuppered plans for an orderly set of releases. Interestingly, both the Killer and School's Out vinyls were officially titled '50th Anniversary Edition' on the vinyl hype stickers, whereas Billion Dollar Babies was not. Oddly, the CD editions of Killer and School's Out were ca...

Re: Australian Tour 2024

I saw the news report on channel 9 and when they called the promoter - Apex Entertainment and asked if the festival was 100% going ahead he hung up. Poor ticket sales apparently. This whole thing is becoming a car crash. Multiple sources are claiming its cancelled, the promoters issued a statement ...

Re: Alice band members past and present best albums

Gotta stand up for Roxie... 'Peace, Love and Armageddon' and 'Two Sides To Every Story' are two of the best albums released by ANYONE in the last two decades. I agree 'Bones From The Yard" as the best "non-Alice" solo album by any of the original band, but don't forget the Blue Coupe albums which ar...

Re: BSB 50th anniversary 2cd / 3 lp out in March

I'm sure if they do any more it will be welcome to my nightmare (again) but i live in hope I get the feeling they’re concentrating on the original band’s releases for the moment. I’d imagine we will get Love It To Death, possibly with an official cleaned up paracidial slumbers?? Maybe some of the d...

Re: Good to see you again,AC

Loved the concert only footage shown in Dallas….and the sound was brilliant….even had the balloons coming down from the ceiling at the end. Should make it an annual event . I was living in London then …and thanks too a certain MP ( Leo Abse ) if my memory serves me right, the group were banned from...

Re: Alice UK presale 10am tomorrow

Yeah, well, maybe this isn't the place for me, when someone likes to tell me how I can talk, like we're in Kindergarten. No one is telling you how to talk. All that is asked is that you respect the rules put in place over 20 years ago for the benefit of all. It really isn't that hard. If you are in...

Re: Alice UK presale 10am tomorrow

Really?? Aren't we all grown ups here, who can talk however the hell we want to talk?? To go in someone's post and edit it is kinda **** up. Can't you just switch on the feature that masks whatever word offends you and we can still say what we want to say?? Also I think whoever told you that was bu...

Re: Alice UK presale 10am tomorrow

Can we please watch the language. I know it's an very emotive topic but there are rules against swearing on this board. There are ways of saying what you want to say without the profanity. And no, it's not because I find it offensive or anything like that. It relates to how the site gets classed in ...

Re: UK Dates 2024

Probably saves me £20 at least compared to car park and venue prices. Car parking for arenas like O2 and Birmingham can be between £25-£25 alone! For their OWN car park, so that you can go into their venue! It's disgusting. Even the Brighton centre has the issue, as the NCP behind the venue has now...

Re: UK Dates 2024

When the original guys did those special UK shows with Alice a few years back i got tickets for every show. I did it all online apart from Leeds, when i called the box office, spoke to a human being and got second row from the centre front of stage. I hate all this internet shit, years ago you woul...

Re: UK Dates 2024

I reckon they will release better seats later on - pretty naff selection of seats available today. Looking at Glasgow and the 2 dates in London I got an email late yesterday from AEG/AXS (the promoters) saying that the London presale had been going so well they were releasing MORE presale tickets f...

Re: Alice UK presale 10am tomorrow

As a matter of interest i got good tickets for Leeds and London on the Wednesday pre sale, but also had a look today on the main sale and the tickets weren’t as good, so pre sale still a better option than waiting until main sale. I don't think you can say that is *always* true. It seems very rando...

Re: Alice UK presale 10am tomorrow

This is another thing that really bugs me. Buy a ticket for any theatre performance or any cinema (that has allocated seating) and you get to pick your seat. It's a scandal that they hardly ever offer that service for gigs. The technology is there and they choose not to use it. I could be wrong, bu...

Re: Alice UK presale 10am tomorrow

That would be it, thanks Si. I think their presale is finished but I’m ready to see what’s available tomorrow. I would advise everyone to sign up to all the obvious UK venues you would go to (ie anywhere that hosts average to large concerts) in advance. This probably goes for US etc as well. Anywhe...

Re: Alice UK presale 10am tomorrow

I can’t see a way to purchase tickets through the eventim site, all I see is a notice to say tickets go on sale tomorrow. Am I missing something? Are you registered on their site? If not that could be why you don't see anything. I was registered with them (I register with all the likely AC UK venue...

Re: Alice UK presale 10am tomorrow

I know someone with access to the OVO presale for the Glasgow Hydro on Ticketmaster yesterday and they told me that they got nothing but the wheel. Had to use a different presale. There were issues with the AEG/AXS presale yesterday with stuck loading screens, and also if you did get in and you did...

Re: Alice UK presale 10am tomorrow

I don't know in the UK but here in the United States, ticketmaster will now change prices depending on the day and an hour. You may buy a set in the 15th row for 200 dollars and the person sitting next to you paid a 100. Unless a show is in danger of a quick sell-out, there really is not a lot of a...
