Show with black Sabbath 1971
Black sabbath's fb page just shared an advert for ashow held on August 8th, 1971 with BS headlining and Alice Cooper on the ticket. I don't recall seeing references to this before Do you have any memories from the show? Did you interact with Sabbath at all? Was this a one time gig? How come AC was o...

Blue Coupe
Anything going on in the world of Blue Coupe these days? What are your favourite songs with the band? What is the creative process like? Is it very collaborative? Do you work on each others song ideas to make them fit the band sound more? What about the bass style you use, how is it different to Ali...

Thanks a lot for the link - I have to agree with your assessment! Still good to have heard it...Spider is one of the few albums that gets worse every time you listen to it.

Well...3-4 songs written with Michael and Neal, 3 songs with Dennis...here's hoping they write one or two more together and make it a reunion album!

Re: Alice's Facebook Page
How is that "condescending"? I was attacking Facebook, not the person I was replying to. I was referring to this but quoted the wrong part "You can get that from Twitter or his site though or even (and here's a shocking concept) this site as well." Well, as you know, Alice himself is not active onl...

Re: Alice's Facebook Page
"Who cares about Facebook anyway? The whole case for it (and social media in general) is exaggerated. The fact that you don't Facebook doesn't mean that a board user asking a valid question should receive condescending replies (perhaps another shocking concept). You can get that from Twitter Some p...

Re: ACG LIVE on Periscope
I am not too excited. The players manage but that's about it. Compared to the current touring band they sound sloppy and amateurish. I don't have the history of following the original band so obviously I have no sentimental feelings. I do understand that they wrote many of the songs. But Nita 10/10...

Re: HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES TRACK LISTING REVEALED
"Yes but again, you can look at any of the cover songs Alice has done and they're all, for the most part, very faithful to the originals. I don't remember people whining about his version of "Pretty Ballerina" for example and that was very close to the original. Perhaps because that was just one co...

Re: Dennis Dunaway book reviews
The way I remember it from interviews is that Michael Bruce wrote the bass part for My Stars while Dennis was sick and then Dennis played the same thing on the recording.

Agreed - would have expected some comments about NMMNG and Elected.
With respect to SO....I think his best bass work is on that album (Gutter Cat, Blue Turk, My Stars)!

Re: Dennis Dunaway book reviews
I really enjoyed thuis book. He does seem to race through the LTD to MOL period like à tornado, but maybe that's what it felt like at the time. One of the best rock biogs i've read so far. Well doen Dennis! When is Neal's out? :p In various interviwes prior to the release Dennis had said that his b...

Re: WTMN vs. FTI
Nightmare for me....FTI is one of the best solo albums lyrically but I prefer the musical style of Nightmare....there are more songs on FTI that I'm not too fond of (Millie & Billie, HYGSMN, Jacknife Johnny and Inmates) than there are on WTMN.

Re: Dennis Dunaway book reviews
It is indeed a great book. I think it's the most reliable account of the band years. I've always felt that the absence of Dennis' style and creativity is one of the biggest problems with the solo years. The only minor complaint I have is I would have loved more detail about the songs; there is hardl...

Re: Brutal Planet vs. The Last Temptation
My problem with TLT is that I feel it gets quite weak in the second half...never been too fond of Unholy War and Lullaby. I used to like It's Me, but not much anymore, and Cleansed by Fire is OK but not stellar. I think the first half of the album is really strong, though. BP is more consistent - Pe...

Re: Muscle of Love Album released 40 years ago
>The aura of danger, outrage, and rebellion was nearly gone. That is probably because Michael and Dennis didn't want to be tethered to a theatrical concept (as Michael more or less put it) or be perceived as being Alice's backing band. Dennis always disagrees with the argument that the band wanted ...
