Harmonies on Stage.
In the Billion Dollar Baby book, Bob Greene describes a scene where Shep confronts Alice about the harmonies on stage and says, “They’re really bad. You guys need to practice before the next show.” Alice makes all kinds of excuses, “My monitors are bad, we know the parts, we never could do harmony o...

Re: Good to see you again,AC
The stage was awesome! It was beautiful! Nobody was doing stuff like that at the time. No one had a stage that big with the great lighting. Unfortunately nobody consulted the band on its design so there were problems that affected the bands ability to move around. It was the biggest show on earth at...

Billion Dollar Baby Book Autographed
I’ve seen images of the book, Billion Dollar Baby, by Bob Greene on the internet (hard cover version) signed by all the members of the band. It’s quite obvious by the comments with the autographs that none of the band is really happy with the book; to put it mildly. How did the autographing of the b...

Rig
When you finally started making the money, did you buy your dream rig? It looks like in the 70s you had the Fender Jazz bass with 2 pickups? Where did you buy it? Did it have Grover tuners? What kind/brand of head unit did you use? What was the wattage? What kind and brand of speaker cabinets? Was i...

Re: Never Been Sold Before
When I saw the video for "It's Only Rock and Roll" by the Rolling Stones, they were all wearing sailor suits like the AC Band did on the Muscle of Love album; coincidence? Muscle of Love came out at least 6 months earlier than the Stones video. You know the Stones and Led Zeppelin were watching Alic...

Re: The Fam
OMG! I’ve donated to the ASPCA but does your daughter keep an eye on you when you play with Alice to make sure you aren’t killing any chickens on stage? You told her the story of ASPCA following you guys around after the infamous “Chicken Incident”, right?

Re: LITD Hot Off The Press!
It worked out ok in the end. I converted the tough guy to Alice Cooper. He ended up buying all your albums. He told me he would crank up, “I’m 18” on his stereo while he was working out. He said the song gave him so much energy that he could bench press like crazy!

Re: LITD Hot Off The Press!
It’s funny about the paper panties in the 70s. I was telling my best friend about how the School’s Out album had paper panties wrapped around the vinyl disc. I guess he wasn’t listening to well. He later told a guy, a macho tough guy at school, who expected guys to be men, that I referred to the pap...

Re: The Schools Out album
It’s funny about that B&W band photo in the School’s Out album. For over 3 decades, I was disturbed that you were not in the photo! It was just Glen, Mike, Neal and Alice; no Dennis! Where was Dennis? Why isn’t he in the photo? Was he sick that day? Did they not bother to invite him? Over three deca...

Re: Your Favorite Band Photo
My favorite photo was the sleeve around the Billion Dollar Babies’ vinyl album. The one where you guys are all in the white satin suits that Cindy made. You’re all standing amidst the million dollars in cash with the white rabbits and the baby with the Alice eyes. Geesh! Glen had so many damn rings,...

Halo of Flies
I can dream. Could you Neal and Mike practice Halo of Flies, maybe with Mike switching back and forth between the guitar and keys like in the days of yore. I don’t know if he even plays the keys/moog anymore. I know he mentioned in an interview that he had twinges of arthritis. Somebody else could d...

ABC In Concert
Hello Dennis, I’ve been a fan of the band since 1972 when I was 12. Although I had the School’s Out single vinyl disc with Gutter Cat v.s. The Jets on the flip side, I really became a fan after seeing the ABC In Concert performance taped at Hofstra University during the School’s Out tour. The show w...
