Re: The 'Secret' Next Album

In an interview a few years back Michael Bruce repeatedly refers to Alice Cooper as a tribute band, because they do play so many of their original songs. I don’t get the feeling he bitter and appears to have gone to a few of Alice’s concerts, he seems secure in the knowledge that he basically was th...

Re: The Marketing of Alice Cooper

The their stage show was really rudimentary, KISS and technology long passed them by. I think they make too much of it. Their attempts at music videos and their full length movie were cringe worthy. Their management seemed to focus more on old school publicity stunts and had no long term marketing s...

Re: Alice Cooper Says There Was No Bad Blood Between Him And His Original Band

I also think Alice is adept at avoiding conflict and did things in a very passive way, I believe he was all in on the break up, but wanted to make it appear like it just happened for no apparent reason

Re: Alice Cooper Says There Was No Bad Blood Between Him And His Original Band

They all knew Alice was the gatekeeper to any future fame so I think none of them wanted to burn any bridges with him, and with the exception of MB they have high school or marriage ties together. They all seemed to be genuinely nice guys.

Pink Floyd bunking with the Coopers

Do you remember Pink Floyd bunking with you guys in Venice Beach for a night or two? Apparently, Glen made a drug store run to buy Syd Barrett some hair gel or something to get his permed hair under control.

Glen's early guitar work

I think Glen's guitar work on On Pretty's for You and Easy Action is some of his best, in terms of range of style he seemed to have a freer hand on how he played. Do you agree? and if so was that because there was less influence from the producer(s) and you guys had more control over what went on th...

Re: final setlist

Thanks for sharing those choices, I am glad you selected Fields of Regret, which is great to hear live, and Return of the Spiders, it really show cases all of the band's talents.

Why did you not include Black Juju?

Re: Video excerpts from Madison Square Garden, June 3rd 1973.

For those who say Glen did not play live or his amp was turned off for BDB & MOL tours this video is proof positive that was not the case. He definitely played on all the songs in the video between puffs without missing a beat. Well done Glen.

Where is there profanity in "enough's enough"?
On Apple music the song is rate explicit and contains the "f-word" in the provided lyrics. I don't have the best hearing in the world so I want argue what I hear.

Songs where Alice may have crossed the line

There are two songs where I think Alice may have crossed the line. " I love the Dead ", As an adult I can no longer listen to this song because of the macabre lyrics. I would be embarrassed to listen to it in public. Whereas Cold Ethyl was done in a tongue & cheek fashion, and Alice's sense of humor...

Re: Michael Bruce's solo album in 1975

it hard to believe the man who wrote Caught in a Dream is the same man who wrote the songs for his solo album my own way. I not sure, if any one outside of Alice had any sort of a fan base. I have never seen any interviews contemporaneous to the band with anyone besides Alice. They had an extremely ...

Mindset as a young man toward monetary success

Dennis, Glen on his old public access show said that he, when active in the group, was pulling in 5,000 a week, which even today would be a handsome income. Was that figure in the ballpark? As a young man, what was your mindset toward money? Did your management give band members any words of wisdom ...

Re: sense of finality

It is my understanding that Alice Cooper Goes to Hell was the contractual fulfillment for the last Album that the Alice Cooper group owed Warner Brothers. Obviously, Alice was the only member of the original group to play on it. So were the rest of you party to that contract, or was the contract som...

sense of finality

Dennis, After the last tour, I believe the final stop was Brazil, was there ever a moment when the whole band was together, that you sensed that things never may be the same again and that you would never all be together again as a complete group? What was the mood after the final show? Also in your...

fast paced life

Dennis, From Love it to Death to Muscle of Love was only three years but you compressed at least five to ten years of work into that short time. Did you guys ever get a chance to sit back and enjoy your success at all during that time period? Or was it pretty much hotel rooms, buses, planes and rehe...

Re: Overdue a biopic?

I think the struggles and dynamics of the original band make a compelling story and Alice’s redemption with the success of WTMN. However, I think most of the band members walk on eggshells though not wanting to offend Alice, Bob Ezrin or each other. I don’t think an objective story of the band could...

Re: comparing ACG to Alice solo in terms of rating enjoyment

With the ACG you are comparing young men in the prime of their musical careers at the peak of their creativity and enthusiasm. Had the ACG rolled into the 80s intact it might be a musical train wreck, and very unlikely they would have fared better than a solo Alice Cooper. The question should be cou...

Re: Are Alice's Touring Days Over?

If there was ever a band cut out to do a residency in Las Vegas it’s Alice Cooper, he could do a decade run there. Not too far from is home in AZ. I wonder why that has never been considered. It's been mentioned before. Doing a WTMN show in Vegas. yes, I saw his WTMN show at the Sahara in Lake Taho...
