I really enjoyed reading the intro text by Bernie Taupin on the website. If we're talking about hopes, mine would be that he was involved in the original tracks that Alice had mentioned.

Seems strange that if these were the miniLP's, it's not particularly marketed as such - there's no mention of the audio being remastered. Any notable difference between the albums available as miniLP and the last few albums?

I suppose there's no way of knowing, but the reviews are praising Alice on his showmanship and technical skills moreso than his song selection. However, 50 mins is short and we've heard the showmanship adage of 'always leave them wanting more', so perhaps that sharp burst of Alice's performance helps.

I've heard of an artist whose record label requested that their face appear on the cover, and I've since wondered if Alice has been in a similar situation for some of the albums.

"He covered them with no speoial approach". Maybe you mean musically, but theatrically it was special. I can't see many other performers being able to pull off a resurrection like that in a show. I guess by nature of that theatrical setup, the songs had to be performed as close to the original style...
