Re: BSB 50th anniversary 2cd / 3 lp out in March
For those who have purchased this is the sound vastly superior to past releases?. I already have the live album and the rhino green lp release with all the inserts. And while we are at it... for those who purchased the Theatre of Death lp what are your impressions on that ? thanks I have it. Is the...

Re: Good to see you again,AC
Regarding “The Lady is a Tramp” did you guys actually perform the song or was it just a backing track that Alice sang over?

Re: Diary of mad housewife experience
Hi Dennis do you know if there’s a full audio of your performance? If so do you have a copy and might it ever see the light of day?

Re: BSB 50th anniversary 2cd / 3 lp out in March
Interesting that he says he prefers the 2001 remaster but acknowledges that this version is not as thin (which is something I've had a problem with, with this album... it can get rather tinny), so I'm happy to hear him mention the boost on the bass (which was a plus on School's Out as well). I'm go...

Re: BSB 50th anniversary 2cd / 3 lp out in March
Also, I agree that no one's memory is perfect. But I' m quite sure that even person with dementia would remember selling a song which likely earned near a million dollars over the course of the years for 6k. My mother has dementia. Some days she does'nt know me. She doesnt know what day it is or ye...

Re: BSB 50th anniversary 2cd / 3 lp out in March
I've pre-ordered this. Of course I would have preferred a different show and different outtakes, I like that we get a complete set list for a B$B show and after all these years of owning 3 different vinyl versions of the album, I finally will own a Billion Dollar bill. My 1976 Burbank issue bought ...

Re: BSB 50th anniversary 2cd / 3 lp out in March
Dick Wagner always told things straight up and was not known for embellishing events. I'll take Wagner's recollection over anyone else's especially Michael Bruce. Musically the song is pure Wagner. It would have fit perfectly on WTMN and I'm sure it had a big impact on the genesis and direction of ...

Re: BSB 50th anniversary 2cd / 3 lp out in March
Which brings me to my last point. This would have been a perfect time to set the record straight and give credit to those who actually played on B$B. Wagner, Hunter, Dolin, Mashbir deserve their credit for their contributions to the legendary album. GB didn't play a note and gets full credit. What ...

Re: BSB 50th anniversary 2cd / 3 lp out in March
In the notes, Cooper recalls writing “I Love The Dead” and “Sick Things.” He says, “We were writing those songs looking at each other, and every time we’d write a line I’d say, ‘Oh, this is gonna kill them. Oh, they’re gonna hate us on this one.’ But at the same time, it was almost like an Edgar Al...

Re: BSB 50th anniversary 2cd / 3 lp out in March
While I agree with everyone suggesting there's likely nothing new included here, the one thing we can probably be assured off is that the LP packaging will be first class... and isn't that 90% of why a lot of us buy these vinyl reissues? If it was just any new material we would only buy the CD vers...

Re: BSB 50th anniversary 2cd / 3 lp out in March
It’s on Amazon Uk now (although no price as yet) with a picture of the set. From what I can see by straining my eyes at the open booklet it appears to have I love the dead followed by Hello Hooray, BDB, Elected, I’m Eighteen and Raped and Freezing. So I’m guessing a live show at least. I really hope...

Re: BSB 50th anniversary 2cd / 3 lp out in March
You’re way off! Good, the amount of albums i have with 3 songs per side is ridiculous and it ruins the listening experience imo having change sides so often I totally get what you mean. I understand it when an album wouldn’t comfortably fit on a single Lp but when you have things like Frank Ferdina...

Re: BSB 50th anniversary 2cd / 3 lp out in March
Id expect 2LPs are the album So that leaves 1LP probably 6 to 8 tracks long, what could that be? Or am i way off? i did not get the recent releases of killer or schools out. i am just assuming the usual trend of vinyl being 3 to 4 songs per side these days. I suppose they could do BDB on 3 sides, b...

My favorite era apart from the original band has the blackout period. I also like From the Inside despite its production.

That’s actually 31That’s 30 for the singer , I know he’s fit for his age, but that’s pushing it maybejacknifejohnny wrote: ↑Mon Dec 25, 2023 4:04 amWould probably be better to set it up in a way where you get a double header of like 15 songs with the solo band, 15 with the ACG, and encore with both.

Re: Screaming Lord Sutch on Alice Cooper
I wasn’t there at the time but I have a collection of NME magazines from the 60’s and he was regularly featured. I gather that he and his band were a popular live act rather than a chart sensation. While Heaven Wept wrote: ↑Thu Oct 12, 2023 1:40 pmLet's be honest for a moment.
