Re: At last!!

Re: Trying To Remember An Alice Quote On Spinal Tap

Would be grateful if anyone could help. I was discussing this year's Spinal Tap 30th anniversary today and tried to quote what Alice said about watching it in a room full of metal acts "and nobody was laughing." I think it might have been in The Decline of Western Civilisation Part II: The Metal Ye...

Re: Trying To Remember An Alice Quote On Spinal Tap

Hey Raven, good question. I remember seeing The Decline of Western Civilisation Part II years and years and years ago. I looked upon it with wonder. So, I did a little research and found that it was only released on VHS. There hasn't been a DVD release. Quite sad. I did, however, find a website host...

I'm with you on this. Three bonus is the minimum ante on these releases. I am really disappointed with the latest crop of re-releases.

Are you referring to the second Iron Maiden album?

Re: LITD vs. Killer

I'm say it's Killers for me. I mean, I love both, but there is something about Killers. I think the songs are slightly more interesting. The sounds is a little more put together and varied. Yes, they are more confident, as someone mentioned above.

Still both though.

I have shared my fears about this album before, and now that I see 4 songs it looks they are realized. I am not looking forward to this one bit. I really think this gonna be hard one to swallow.

Re: Hey Stoopid Expanded

I also like Look at you over there. I like it for what it is, a demo. I often wonder what is in the vault that might have been forgotten. It's not beyond the realm of possibility that at the height of popularity or creativity ACG or solo Coop might have deemed something below standard but it could b...

I have a question for the people that love TLT. What are your feelings specifically about the song "Lost in America?"

Re: Brutal Planet vs. The Last Temptation

I have no hesitation in saying Brutal Planet. I just like the heavier sound and the concept much more.

Maybe its just me, but it feels like Alice was trying to hard with TLT. Some of the lyrics are just dumb, for lack of a better word.

Re: Weird Cover versions of Alice songs

'Poison' has spawned it's share of dreadful covers - from tedious 'classic rock' versions to amateur choral society 'atrocities'. THIS though isn't weird, just brilliant. I find it intensely moving. Perhaps they could offer Alice a few tips for his covers album! http://youtube.com/watch?v=PpDRqt0dR...
