Re: Alice Talks Suzi Q & Chuck Berry

In case it's escaped anyone's attention, Alice is a contributor to two new documentaries on the above. Suzi Q has been getting very limited cinema screenings and was on Sky Arts a couple of weeks back. Alice pops up quite a lot with his usual amiable recollections, though surprisingly his regular an...

Re: If 4th street could talk?

I finally got to hear it. Well worth the long wait! This one is going to be stuck in my head! Now to dig out "Chemical Reaction" :rotfl: Go Ahead... Leave the rest of the SickThing's Hangin'... :hang: A link or a PM to both would be nice... (if it doesn't violate Forum rules). Not that it would cha...

Re: Lot of Originals

Yup! All on the main news page. Looking forward to hearing about these and seeing pictures. I'd love for Astroturf and Coffin to have a showing near me. *crossing fingers* They haven't lost favor nor have the surviving members not connected in recent years. They may spend enough time together to wo...

Re: B$B’s setlist tonight in Connecticut

Me too...” I Miss You”, “Black Juju” The highlights for me. Great versions of “Caught In A Dream” and “18” though. Monitor and lighting problems to start with...and when Mike looked down at the setlist, it was from the previous band ....a Spinal Tap moment for sure. Strange that they haven't tried ...

Re: Collector Shows

Why don't you buy the breadcrumps ep through internet? It's still Summer here in Maryland & I'm concerned about having a vinyl record delivered to my doorstep in 90+ degree heat where the sun has almost burned most of my grass in the front yard! :/ But, thanks for the advice. If the weather breaks,...

Collector Shows

Do any SickThings have a Collector Show that regularly comes to their area? I have one that occurs 11 months out of the year a short distance away. This is a pretty big show with at least 50+ sellers & vendors. They fill a local Firehall banquet area. I don't have too many Brick & Mortar shops aroun...

Re: Breadcrumbs

I like what I’ve heard so far, the snippets have been cool, especially ‘your mamma won’t like me’ and I heard the Bob Seger song in its entirety yesterday, just good old fashioned, straight ahead rock. Dirty diamonds was put to us as straight forward garage rock and after nearly 15 years I still ca...

Re: Teleprompter

I think Dylan carries a tome of his music on tour for reference. Like a security blanket. AC has a security screen. :8): Bowie used to transpose lyrics all of the time. It was hard to tell if it was on purpose or not. All I've heard (mostly) are one off performances that were used for a "Live" relea...

Re: Planet Rocks top 40 greatest guitar solos

Pink Floyd at the top of ANY list (other than sales) positively shows that the ballot box was "stuffed"! :teach: Congrats AC! 'Comfortably Numb' got 16% of the total vote on it's own. No stuffing was needed. It's 'Comfortably Numb'. It was always going to win. The black strat Gilmour played ...

Dali would have preferred if they wore live lobsters as accessories. Lady Gaga's meat dress from several years ago could have been designed by Dali himself.
At least with Lobsters the Red Carpet may have obscured the blood. *worthy*

How Dare They...

I just saw this article about the MTV VMA's & was floored by the audacity! https://www.msn.com/en-us/lifestyle/lifestyle-buzz/help-people-are-wearing-live-snakes-as-accessories-at-the-mtv-vmas/ar-AAGmOe8?pfr=1 Sure, Britney has done it previously in a one-off performance but to use these reptiles as...

Re: Lou Reed - Rock and Roll Animal

I like it that they used John Denver crowd noise to beef up the audience track. Someone in the studio had their tongue in their cheek. Babysquid where did you find this info? It's not on Wikipedia & I had been told that Cheap Tricks' @ Budokan had alternate audience noise also. Not on Wiki either! ...

Re: Lou Reed - Rock and Roll Animal

Rock 'n' Roll Animal is a great short set into the world of Lou, "Lou Reed Live" released about a year later is culled from the same performances used for R'n'R Animal & between the 2 gives a more complete overview of how he and the band were "Live". Lou doesn't do too much on stage yet he was mesme...

While I was doing a little more research about FTF.
I found out that The Smashing Pumpkins did a cover of "Clones (We're All)"
Not too bad but, not better than The Master!
