Re: Alice Loves Disco

Ha..Desperado22- you sound as if you are in denial that you like disco-of course the Pet Shop Boys are Disco- Reckon everybody has tapped their feet to a disco beat- Re Alice my favorite reference to Disco is on the Strange Case video when he goes on about "I hate disco" then runs on about parents ...

Re: Alice Loves Disco

Are Pet Shop Boys Disco? I've always liked them but not sure if they would count as Disco or not because they can be quite dark and moody at times.

Re: The moments where Alice is Vincent on stage

Whilst the leg incident did occur at that gig, I was actually referring to a bunch of drunks at the front who started to beat up a Marilyn Manson lookalike. It happened right under Alice's nose and he could barely concentrate on his singing. I never saw the leg being used in anger :( Wow, that's aw...

Re: The moments where Alice is Vincent on stage

I *think* they're referring to the fight that involved a guy's prosthetic leg. http://www.theguardian.com/uk/2009/jul/22/alice-cooper-fan-spared-jail Wow, that's pretty crazy. I guess Alice's does attract some genuine freaks sometimes. Did Alice break character and acknowledge the incident do you k...

Re: The moments where Alice is Vincent on stage

I was thinking of this only this morning. For me, the character Alice is on display most of the time he is on stage. However, the lines become muddied sometimes: > The 'Raise The Dead' section on the current tour > Introducing the band on most tours > The encore These tend to show either a slight o...

Re: Alice Does Alice

I remember hearing some re-recordings a few years ago. There was news that he would be redoing all his greatest hits but then they all seemed to disappear from youtube for some reason.

Not too fond of many of the tracks on either album. I do like Levity Ball and Reflected though.

Re: The Perfect Setlist

As I understand it, Bed Of Nails is now considered a no no due to Alice's faith. Although he played it in 2004 which is confusing. I've never understood what songs he won't play anymore. He once said he wouldn't play Trash anymore but he did a few years ago. Even so, Bed Of Nails is no more unchrist...

Re: The Perfect Setlist

I'm happy for Alice to keep his biggest hits. Having said that, I have only seen him live 5 times so I have not had the chance to become bored with them yet. The only exception is Poison, as I don't think that has sounded good live since the late 90's.

Re: The Perfect Setlist

Sorry for the double post, but there is one thing I'd like to add. I'm no longer able to edit my original post, so I just wanted to replace "Sex, death and money" with "Dangerous tonight." That'd be a great way to open up a show.

Good news imo.
The Congregation is a decent song but it's not one of my favorites. Great to have DOY back in the setlist.

My setlist could probably do with some rearranging lol.

I agree about TOD. Amazing show.

The Perfect Setlist

I apologize if there is a similar thread elsewhere. I did look but couldn't find one. I know there are several threads where setlists are discussed, but I'm not sure if there is a thread like this. If Alice came to you and asked you to create the setlist for his next tour, what would you do? Keep in...

God's Gonna Cut You Down is a great choice. I've always wanted to hear Alice play that. Fingers crossed that I'll get my wish one day.

Re: Not this time

Despite the fact that the setlist for RTD isn't great, it's still a fun show and I loved every minute of it when I saw him in Bouremouth last Halloween. I think "House of Fire" and "He's Back" are pretty cool tunes in the set. I really hope the are back for the solo shows. I love "Caffeine" in the ...

Re: Not this time

While I agree that the Raise The Dead show had a disappointing setlist, I can't say the same for the previous two tours. NMMNG and TOD had a lot of great songs that hadn't beebn played in years. TOD had rare gems like Guilty, Nurse Rozetta and The Awakening. NMMNG had Hey Stoopid, Brutal Planet, Clo...

Re: Big Apple Dreamin'

It's a great track. This album is so underrated. There are so many great tracks that never get played live. I'd love to see Big Apple Dreaming, Never Been Sold Before or Hard-hearted Alice in concert.
I actually prefer this album to School's Out and BDB.
