Re: New Rock Biography Series on A&E--Alice Cooper

Interesting to see "group" mentioned twice and "band" once, implying that a generous amount of attention will be given to the original guys. It might not prove to be the case, but you never know. Pretty much EVERY documentary on Alice spends the majority of screen time on the original band and WTMN...

Re: Canadian Rocker Lee Aaron Covers Is It My Body

My first-listen opinion is that she's trying a bit too hard with the vocal. Needs to be less shouty, more sleazy.

Man With The Golden Gun

Hey Dennis, Can you share some thoughts on how you put this song together? I'm especially intrigued as to how the prospect of it being used as the theme to the new Bond film influenced the various musical elements you included. How much extra effort, if any, went into being cinematic for this one? A...

I showed your post to Tish and Snooky.

Snooky said "So funny!"
Tish said, "Omg! I laughed so hard that I almost Keeched my breeks when I read this!"
Brilliant!

Thanks so much, Dennis.

And extra thanks to the Darlings of the Demented.

Joker: Folie à Deux Trailer

Lady Gaga is adopting a familiar look at 1:30 and 1:45.

I wonder if there will be any dialogue references to the Coop.

Re: Tish & Snooky

I'll pass your message on to Tish and Snooky. Cindy and I met them at a Chiller Theatre Expo monster/scifi event. Their table was across from ours. We looked at them and they looked at us and we all felt like Kindred Spirits from the get go. Then I found myself performing on stage with them several...

Tish & Snooky

Hey Dennis, I really enjoyed watching the footage of VersoFest 24. Please convey my thanks, as a Scottish person, to Tish for quoting her grandmother's "keech my breeks" comment. I was NOT expecting to hear that term used during the conversation! Made me very happy indeed. Can't remember if this has...

Re: Don't Blow Your Mind: The Mascot Sessions

Thanks, Dennis, for another thorough and fascinating answer.

Sounds like the release had the potential for being even better than it is, but it's still a great historical document in many ways and I personally really love that period of the band.

Don't Blow Your Mind: The Mascot Sessions

Hey Dennis, I've been enjoying this release and sincerely hope you got a complimentary copy, especially since you're credited for helping them out with background information. Is there anything in particular you can suggest we listen out for, or any extra anecdote you'd care to share about those rec...

Re: UK Dates 2024

He sells between 6,000 and 8,000 in Glasgow usually. Armadillo is 3,000 so I guess it’s been about maximising income. He’s around 4,500 at the moment and possibly heading for 5,500 so an easy sellout at the Armadillo but less profit for one night’s work? Two night’s time and cost possibly too much ...

Re: BSB 50th anniversary 2cd / 3 lp out in March

I was lucky enough to have my preordered copy turn up today.

I don't think anyone who has made the investment will be disappointed. The original album sounds great, with the bass being every bit as full and prominent as promised.

Re: UK Dates 2024

I'm a need and keep an eye on ticket sales where I can when Alice tours. Can't see Birminghams stats but Manchester and Leeds seem to be up to the same level as the last tour so far. Surprised London hasn't sold out yet particularly given its all seated and some folk will do both nights. The bad on...

Re: Alice UK presale 10am tomorrow

As a matter of interest i got good tickets for Leeds and London on the Wednesday pre sale, but also had a look today on the main sale and the tickets weren’t as good, so pre sale still a better option than waiting until main sale. I don't think you can say that is *always* true. It seems very rando...

Re: Alice UK presale 10am tomorrow

I know someone with access to the OVO presale for the Glasgow Hydro on Ticketmaster yesterday and they told me that they got nothing but the wheel. Had to use a different presale. There were issues with the AEG/AXS presale yesterday with stuck loading screens, and also if you did get in and you did...

Re: Alice UK presale 10am tomorrow

I don't know in the UK but here in the United States, ticketmaster will now change prices depending on the day and an hour. You may buy a set in the 15th row for 200 dollars and the person sitting next to you paid a 100. Unless a show is in danger of a quick sell-out, there really is not a lot of a...

Re: Alice UK presale 10am tomorrow

Sounds like there were a lot of decent seats up for grabs for a change. No such joy at the Glasgow Hydro, which always seems to have vast amounts of the more forward rows tied up with different suppliers. It's going to be interesting to see how many Primal Scream fans show up, as I doubt many of the...
