On the debut album by Starz (1976), check out "Live Wire". Before getting it, read a Lester Bangs review and He says the singer sounds.."just like Alice Cooper". Checked it and damned if Michael Lee Smith doesn't!

Re: The Alice Cooper Show 1977
I had high hopes for this when I got it-liked all the pictures and figured a live album would make up for the last couple of releases. Also wondered why it wasn't a Double one myself. Very disappointed after listening back in 1977 and it hasn't aged well at all. No doubt, a rough time for Him person...

Re: Great AC songs (that aren't)
Let's have some fun. This thread is about songs by other artists that would be great Alice Cooper songs. I'll start. (Click this link:) Blue Öyster Cult - "That Was Me." I thought so too when I heard this , reminded Me very much of "Dead Flies". Other BOC song that sounds like it would be an Alice ...

Maybe I'll get used to it somehow.....
Not bad, but no real change from the original and find it hard to believe He couldn't find a better choice for a single.

Re: comparing ACG to Alice solo in terms of rating enjoyment
Some thoughtful comments here and I'm inclined to agree most with Steven Crayn in his rating. Alice solo has so many albums to choose from and there have been some I've truly enjoyed (WELCOME TO MY NIGHTMARE, FROM THE INSIDE, FLUSH THE FASHION,SPECIAL FORCES, ZIPPER CATCHES SKIN, DADA, THE LAST TEMP...

Re: An Alice Cooper vinyl box set
i binned vinyl decades ago, i get pretty narked when every limited edition just seems to be out on vinyl. i've got all the Cooper albums so it would need to be something special to fork out on a set of the same, even if the price was just £10 - i don't see the point on have the space for the needle...

Re: Alice Songs You Like More Than Most Other Fans Do
It's only guesswork of course but I've never encountered anyone that shared my passion for Wonder Who's Loving Her Now, a song I was mildly obsessed by (especially the solo) when I first got hold of the Battle of the Bands bootleg single. I love "WOLHN"! Also check out from around the same era "I C...

Re: Mike Pinera
A lot of good playing by Mike on SF...know it's been some time ago, but does he recall what songs He played guitar on ZIPPER? Getting off the subject a little, but truly enjoy "Ride Captain Ride" from Blues Image, especially his solo towards the end of the song. How much time did it take to develop ...

Re: Have you changed your mind?
For the most part, my views have stayed the same on most of the albums. Still love the ACG lp's over anything else. LACE AND WHISKEY and the three blackout albums have improved for Me, especially SPECIAL FORCES. Still don't like HELL, TRASH, THE AC SHOW, EYES, DRAGONTOWN and SPIDER. As Padre mention...

Delighted you enjoyed it Padre. Said it before, this is a purple patch and we should enjoy every minute while it lasts. You bet, Del. It's a good time to be a fan. Hope he goes on until he's 100. Indeed it is a good time for :alice: fandom! I truly enjoyed my August show very much. If anyone can ke...

Re: Dennis Dunaway at Chiller NJ
Dennis seems like an all round great guy. I've never done a Chiller how are they? I've been to three, they can be loads of fun, but extremely crowded and it helps if You can stay at the Host Hotel as parking can be problematic. Guests from all walks of entertainment, but they all charge for autogra...

Dennis Dunaway at Chiller NJ
Hello all,
Just got off the Chiller Convention guest list and saw Dennis will be there next weekend. He must have just gotten booked recently, as this is the first time I've seen him on the Guest list.
If anyone can make it and meet him, You won't be disappointed.
