Re: Bob Ezrin, Before and After

Had the band not been named “Alice Cooper,” it wouldn’t have been so easy for Alice to easily launch a solo career. It seemed that the public assumed he was “Alice Cooper” from day one because he was the lead singer. My question, Dennis, is did the band have any discussion or reservations early on t...

New Tour Footage

I saw this posted on a news site. Alice still looks and sounds great. The band is excellent as usual.

Solo Alice

Hi Dennis, 1. I’m curious to how you felt/feel about Alice’s string of ballad singles immediately after the breakup. “Only Women B,” “I Never Cry,” “You & Me,” and “How You Gonna See Me Now?” 2. I always thought the original band would have made a powerful contribution to the From the Inside album. ...

Re: Good to see you again,AC

The skits were hilarious. The band should have been offered a TV series similar to The Monkees. Living in a cottage in the desert and the viewers following your exploits.

Re: I Hate You

Definitely my favorite track off the album. I love the sound of Neal’s drums and how the bass guitar cuts through the mix (like back in the day). The production is punchy without being slick. Dennis, that’s great to hear that you played rhythm on it as well as including Glen’s SG.

Re: Never Been Sold Before

I always felt that the riff to “Never Been Sold Before” was “borrowed” by Nazareth for “Hair of the Dog.”

Re: G.B. solos

The Working Up a Sweat and Big Apple Dreamin solos were played by Dick Wagner. Mick Mashbir traded solos with Michael on Hard Hearted Alice. Mick Mashbir also played the solos on Never Been Sold Before and Woman Machine. Teenage Lament as has been mentioned was played by Michael Bruce, he even play...

Re: G.B. solos

I always felt that the solo on “Teenage Lament” was very “Glenish.” The note bending and feel always reminded me of the playing on “Dwight Frye.” Also, “Living” should be considered a psychedelic nugget, up there with The Chocolate Watchband, Bubble Puppy, The Electric Prunes, etc.

Concerts, Beatles, and gear.

Hi Dennis, Thanks for doing this for your fans. 1. What was your favorite concert that you attended (not as a performer)? 2. Who is your favorite Beatle and why? 3. Has Alice ever stated his opinion of Battle Axe to you? 4. Do you have a home studio? If so, could you mention some of your favorite ge...

Thanks, SI. I haven’t had a chance to pick up the CD yet, so I’ve not seen the lyrics. Planning on getting it this week. I hope it hits the top ten in America & the UK.

Re: I Hate You

Thanks for the order of the band. Yeah, just that intro reminds me of Serious. Great tune. I think it’s time for an entire original band album. Doesn’t Alice realize that yet?!!?

Re: I Hate You

The intro guitar reminds me of the intro to “Serious.” Anyone notice that. I doubt it was intentional. Anyway, great tune. Can anyone specify which person sings which part? I only recognize Alice. Thanks

I was just reading an article about it and they mentioned Alice and Sheryl both had covid this year. Never heard about it, but fortunately they’re okay. Alice had a quote about it, too.

Re: Is anyone home ?

Such a great song. Alice delving into Beatlesque pop rock with jangly guitars, strings, tremeloed guitar, etc... Sounds like something Mike Bruce would have co-written with Alice. I always wished he would have explored that style further.

Re: Flush the Fashion 40th Anniversary

Some information here helps clear up the Shenandoah point. https://rockonworkshop.wordpress.com/2012/02/04/ro-special-birthday-edition-alice-cooper-and-david-carron/ Great link. Like Mr. Barlow said, had no idea Davey Johnstone suggested the song to Alice. I always just assumed RT Baker brought it ...
