Unquestionably, "Inmates (We're All Crazy)". Epic.

Re: I'm Alice

Alice, to me, has so many voices. Many of them specific to certain periods during his career. I hear a lot of Last Temptation vibes (especially Sideshow) but there are bits and pieces in Alice's spoken lines that conjure the blackout years, Dirty Diamonds and W2MN. His voice is still crystal clear a...

Re: I Hate You

Man, I was pumped about the previews but based on what I've heard, I'm disappointed. I hope the full album will change my opinion. The motown and blues pastiches give me the same embarrassed feeling I get anytime I hear "Disco Bloodbath Boogie Fever" or "Ghouls Gone Wild". I also really hate what he...

Ezrin's oldest, David, would've been around 6yrs old. His siblings Joshua and Sarah are several years younger.

Re: Alice Songs You Like More Than Most Other Fans Do

I'm The Coolest: Some of the tastiest guitar work on Goes To Hell. Sand dancer, c'monnnnnnnn. King Of The Silver Screen: The first of Cooper's transvestite trilogy. It's kitschy and I love it! I Never Wrote Those Songs: I could live without the sax but I just love the lyrical viewpoint. Maybe the ea...

Re: Breadcrumbs

I'll throw in some love for the original "Detroit City" as well. I really don't dig this reworking at all. The bombastic production and performances of the original are tough to beat. That version feels like an anthemic energetic celebration of the city and its music. The new one feels...empty.

Re: Flush the Fashion 40th Anniversary

I adore this record. My first introduction to the "new" Coop was the Clones promo that premiered on the "Pink Lady & Jeff" TV show. I was baffled but totally drawn to this new iteration of Alice. I rode my bike to the local Ayr-Way on release day, picked it up and rushed home to put that sucker on t...

Re: Best engineered album?

From The Inside. While it may be a bit too clean in places, there is no better sounding Cooper record in terms of clarity, balance and depth. I'd love to hear it in 5.1 surround.

Re: Paris Special 82

Well, as evidenced by my avatar, the blackout years hold a special place for me. I love those unusual records. Especially FTF and SF. I would love to see deluxe reissues or a box set with some bonus material. I think that era is unjustly maligned.

Re: Goes To Hell........

I love it. Honestly, I think the "storyline" is more cohesive than its predecessor and I really love the musical diversity. I don't mind "You Gotta Dance" and I love "I'm The Coolest". Those early years of Alice's solo career might be a bit on the cabaret end of the spectrum but I appreciate that Al...

Re: The best of Easy Action and PFY

Yea, I don't ever see Alice doing any of these songs in the context of a touring live show...BUT...anyone remember what Sparks did a few years back? They did a show for each of their released albums, played in full. A 21-night "Sparks Spectacular" residency at the O2. I would kill for a similar expe...

Re: More tracks to hear...

Well, I've heard the whole damn thing. I dig it. Alice's singing is great, the musicians all turn in excellent performances and there are some small nuanced surprises here and there that raised an eyebrow a few times. Standouts for me are "Paranormal", "Dead Flies", "Paranoiac Personality", "Dynamit...

Re: More tracks to hear...

Paranormal is a disjointed song but interesting nonetheless. I'm not wild about the guitar solo either, seems out of place, but overall I like the musical direction. Alice is stretching himself with the two songs released so far. PP is a better opening single than IBYFO and P is a better album open...

Re: More tracks to hear...

Well, I like most of what I'm hearing. Definitely not at all what I was expecting but I'm totally ok with that. For me, part of what makes a Coop album great is the diversity of the material and this one sounds right along those lines. Sure, there are a few clips that have me scratching my head but ...

Re: More tracks to hear...

It's SO refreshing to hear more of Alice's clean voice on these clips. There were plenty of cuts on the last album that featured it too and it really gives the albums more depth and variety. I've been pining for that for aeons. It seems with the predominantly heavier stuff he's done over the last co...

Re: When will there be a Paranormal album review

Well, it's more of a promotional soundbite than a proper review, but this is as close to a translation as I could do: "Surprises are on Alice Cooper's 27th studio album, Paranormal far more than enough. The most important - if not the most sensual - is its consistent rockcoat to the (rock) values ...
