Gene Vincent & Jim Morrison

Hi Mr D ! I wanted to know.... when you played as a back-up band for Gene Vincent, was Alice playing with you (playing harmonica in that case, I suppose) ? Did Gene said something to you guys about the 'chicken accident' afterwards, and most of all, did you get to know what he thought about "Return ...

A few questions from a friend

Hello Mr. Dunaway ! I'm Christophe, fan of the ACG since I bought a copy of 1974's Greatest hits in late 1987 as a sweet sixteen  I'll soon submit to you some questions from me, but for now I'd like to ask questions coming from my friend Jacques, ACG fan since late 1977 after having heard "Kil...

"I played golf with Alice Cooper !"

I work in the field of tourism and today I got to accompany a 60 year old american couple through my town (Paris) all through the day. When they told me they live in Phoenix, Arizona..... well, you see what came through my mind of course  After asking if they knew the town of Scottsdale, and b...

Who on this board saw Alice opening for the Stones ?

Sadly that tour didn't reach my country. Gosh, the Stones on stage, with Alice just before.... I envy those who were there.

How were beoth bands on those concerts ? Any memories to share, those of you who attented one of these nights ?

Re: Monster dog

Why was it dubbed anyway ? Were the original dialogues recorded in another language than English ? I thought Alice only spoke English. In this case, why bother and re-do all dialogues in the same language it was recorded in ? Why another amount of useless work when budget was not there in the first ...

I'm almost sure it is the version that had been put on the B-side of the UK 3-track maxi-single of Poison. I bought this record when it was released.

Re: Alice considering re-recording some early 80's material

Difficult to add anything to all the interesting points that darkmenace and mrbarlow have made. A "budget album" ? With such a wealth of sonic landscapes throughout ? You wouldn't find such a richness of tone in a budget album. The whole album bathes in a very special sonic colour, that, in turn, is...

King Diamond & Merciful Fate : your opinion ?

Hi there ! One of my friends is a hard rock, progressive and heavy metal fan since 1977. He has all of the ACG albums but has no solo Alice LP - though he attented a 1982 SF concert. His favorite bands are Led Zeppelin (he has everything they released I think), Kiss ( he has most of their recorded s...

Re: Alice Alcohol v Cocaine

I clearly remember one thing that a record dealer told me, back in the nineties. That guy was in the crowd at the gig of February the 9th, 1982, in Metz - Special Forces Tour. Apparently, the concert began with a one hour delay or so, because..... Alice didn't want to go on stage before he could be ...

Re: One tour you could revisit......

The Dada tour was incredible. I loved how the stage set was designed around a haunted house and Alice would sing to the weirdo that lived in the attic while standing in the family grave. Shame that show was never filmed.[/quote] Some bootlegs are floating around. Second night, especially - comes fro...

Re: ALICE Says Covers Album Features A 'Jaw-Dropping' Lineup

The one thing I really, really hope for, re-Alice's album, is a back-to-basics set of short, sharp songs; the sound of The Yardbirds meets 'You Drive Me Nervous', with the odd bit of quirkiness thrown in. Not 'tasteful' classic rock arrangements, or loads of 'ooh look at me' shredding. Please![/quot...

The Joe Perry & the Andy McCoy mid-80's demos

Has anyone from you heard them ? What do they sound like ? Like Alice's then latest releases, or like what was about to be made with Kane Roberts ? Or do they sound like Aerosmith for the stuff with Joe Perry, or like Hanoi Rocks for the stuff made with Andy Mac Coy ? I've always been curious about ...
