Re: rarely seen photos

Very cool! I like the one with Alice reading the Newspaper on stage. Just struck me as amusing.

Also, as a kid, I always hated playing baseball wearing flared trousers.

Re: Super Duper Alice Cooper Trailer

I much prefer the title "Super Duper Alice Cooper". It has a very 70's vibe, along with the title seen at the end of the trailer to match. "Vincent Goes To Hell...." sounds like the title of a magazine interview and using the term "Rock Doc" sounds like a cheap cable TV 45 minute biography. Glad the...

Re: Super Duper Alice Cooper Trailer

Having seen both versions of the trailer, the film looks brilliant & I could really careless about them omitting the coke bit from the online trailer (It was literally 2 seconds long and it will be revealed when you see the film). I think the first trailer did have a little more substance to the hum...

Re: New Montreux 2005 double album vinyl

Thanks for clarifying DoY, I must have been misinformed. No problem! It got a little confusing since NOTVD did their versions right before and around the same time that Back On Black did their versions. Make note that BOB released a version of EOAC and NOTVD did not. Some of the NOTVD versions have...

Re: New Montreux 2005 double album vinyl

Can't see how this can better the previous release. No, but for the ones who missed the first release this is good and cheaper. True, it was certainly a limited run. On the subject of the Night Of The Vinly Dead LP releases, what have they done? I know of Brutal Planet, Dragontown, Dirty Diamonds a...

Re: Along Came a Spider/iTunes

Hippo Records has acquired the licensing for it and has a CD re-issue coming out on October 16 in the USA. I would suspect an I-Tunes version to be available too.

Re: OLD SCHOOL 1964-1974 one year later...

One year later and I'm still impressed with Old School! Dennis Dunaway signed my "yearbook" last night and now I love it even more! I still tip my hat to all those involved in contributing their efforts (especially in the little time there was to compile everything before manufacturing). I run a sma...

Re: The Alice Cooper album of the Day: ALONG CAME A SPIDER

I like this album. I did from day one. I felt some of the songs like Hungry & Wrapped in Silk had a cool 70's throw back vibe. Vengeance is Mine, Feminine Side, Catch Me If You Can & I Am The Spider are flat out awesome rock tunes (IMHO). I agree that a longer version of Killed By Love could've been...

Re: Dennis Dunaway at Ourland Festival 7/29/12

I saw Blue Coupe perform a electrifying set in Detroit last night! I have no real news regarding the book coming out, but in my conversation with Dennis after the show, he chatted a little bit about it. He did say its being looked at by a publisher right now and is very excited that it may see the l...

A friend of mine posted that on my Facebook page a while back (I had no idea what I was in for!) It's a great read! In the end it made me want a full book by Dennis.

Re: First Alice Album You Ever Owned

I was 13 in 1985 when my neighbors mother (permanently) loaned me her vinyl copy of Welcome To My Nightmare. It's the record that would be the gateway into my super fandom and is still as fresh to me today as it was back then! I never grow tired of it. :alice: Cool story :alice: Thank You! I have s...

Re: Before the internet...

When I first was really getting into AC in the mid 1980's, a local record shop had every back issue of CREEM, CIRCUS & HIT PARADER under their used LP bins. I snagged anything with the name or picture of Alice Cooper on the cover. 27 years later, judging by current ebay rates, I'm glad that I paid $...

I pre-ordered one from Amazon UK a couple months ago, since they said it was out in June (3 months before the US date). I haven't heard a peep from them if the date has changed.

I too would rather hear a couple others from his extensive body of work.

Surprisingly, I enjoyed Born This Way more than some of the other covers he's done. :rotfl:

Re: Alice's Relationship with Warner

In 1986, when Constrictor came out, LITD, Killer, SO, B$B, ACGH, WTMN, ACGTH. & TACS were all reprinted readily available on Warner Bros LP & Cassette in the USA. The LP's were simple and unlike the original releases. I was 14 & hand wrote letters to Warner Brothers and Brian Nelson asking if the ot...

Re: Constrictor Vs. Raise Your Fist And Yell

I love the songs on Constrictor! But, I gotta go with RYFAY. The overall production was stronger and is much easier to listen to...in my opinion. (Ken K. Mary's drumming on RYFAY is much better than the drum machine on Constrictor) :rotfl: Production aside, Alice's lyrical sense of humor on RYFAY wa...
