Re: Alice's Guitarists

Alice has definitely had a lot of great guitarists come and go over the years. The Roxie/Dover duo was definitely my fave since the classic Bruce/Buxton and Hunter/Wagner era's. In my opinion, those guys really seemed to have brought back more of a classic vibe/feel to the AGC/solo material from the...

Re: From The Inside

When I became a fan in the mid-80's, I liked From The Inside, but it wasn't a fave of mine for a long time. That is, until the late 90's. When he played the title track on the Carnival Tour. I went home after the show and put it on the turntable and something clicked! It suddenly felt like a masterp...

Re: What books do you have?

Alice Cooper - Live On Tour Private - Photos 1973-1975 by Wolfgang "Bubi" Heilemann has eluded me for years. I used to work for the Border Books chain. I ordered a couple copies and only one arrived, damaged. I sent it back for a replacement and it never arrived. It seemed to have sold out everywher...

Re: Favorite Alice movies

For non-Alice Concert films, I think Roadie is my Fave. #2 Waynes World, #3 Suck.

I always liked Alice's Monster Dog voice over comment (paraphrased) "I think they got the guy who did Dudley Do-Right."

Thanks for the tip! I'm not very tech savy. I couldn't find upscaling on mine, but I did find a way to soften the image without taking away from the resolution.

Re: Strange Case BD?

The DVD looks and sounds great!

I was curious about a BluRay version as well, mainly because when my BluRay player plays regular DVD's, the picture quality tends to look grainy.

Re: RYFAY Vs. ACAS

I have a huge soft spot for the RYFAY period in Alice's career. Back in '87, the LP & Tour fit well into my 15 year Horror/Metal/Punk soaked brain. If Constrictor was produced the same, it would be almost as good. I still love ACAS for different reasons. Aside from "Vengeance.." & "...Feminine Side"...

Man, I loved the "Sex, Death & Money/Brutal Planet/Dragontown" Medley from the DT tour!

As for W2MN, I would love to hear "Runaway Train", "The Congregation" or "Ghouls Gone Wild" played as well!

Re: Coop: Metal or Classic Rock?

Generally, all I care about is just seeing Alice. But if I had to choose, I'd go with the metal bands. The audience tends to have more energy. Every time that I've seen him on bill with a classic rock band, the crowd tends to be sleepy and wants to sit down. :smack:

Re: Reissue of School's Out LP

The recent LITD re-issue is kind of an oddity. Cover art scan is a little light and not as sharp as the original. It has the Thumb Cover, but no Gatefold. The vinyl has Burbank/Palm Trees Label. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Warner Brothers didn't start using this label until 1973/74.

I'm not much of a Coldplay admirer either. But I found this mash up entertaining. The Alice/ Earth, Wind & Fire mash up is more fun, IMO.
