With all respect to Mr Zombie, I don't see why Alice should lower himself in that sense, but then again he's done it before; Dee Snider, Bon Jovi, G 'n R etc etc.....surely he doesn't think those artists are on Cooper's level artistically....or maybe he does? As for Rob whatever his name is....the ...

Well, I'm gonna listen a few more times before I "rate" it.

That says it all really, so many of you have said that, suggests all is not quite well to me really.

I think you're missing my point actually, I like Alice experimenting with different sounds very much, I dislike I formulated music very much (I write original stuff myself) ..especially formulated rock. I don't mind a little Stones influence in one song or two. However, from what I've heard of this...

Alot of record stores will actually put Alice in the Heavy Metal Category. Saw it. He's just saying had it not been for those paticular albums, that Alice wouldn't have been put into those "Metal" sections at all. But that was completely irrelevant to the "discussion"... we all know that those late...

I think Alice's music has always had a Rolling Stones-type influence. For example, Be My Lover was always very reminscent of the Stones' Honky Tonk Women to me and many other classics like Is It My Body have that Stones-y sound too. When Alice Cooper were at their peak, they were even called "Ameri...

Only because the general public knows Alice best from his "hardrock/metal" days in the late 80´s and the "comeback" album of BP. If Alice hadn´t done Constrictor, RYF&Y, Trash, HS, BP or DT, I doubt that he would be put in the "metal" section in recordstores all over the world. I'm not following yo...

How much on albums like Nightmare, GTH, L&W, FTI & Dada is actually hard rock.. not that many songs.. All those albums belong in the hard rock genre period. Granted, there are other musical influences going on in all of them (Alice always did that) but the overall impression is 'hard rock'....it mu...

To put it in to perspective Giles: When did Alice actually have *the* definitive sound? Special Forces isn't rock and somehow people like it. Alice has never had a 'definitive' sound, but one thing is for sure..it has always been some form of hard rock with an 'Alice sneer'...he was never 50's/60's...

I prefere the Alice of the 70s and this comes close to me

It sounds nothing like early Alice to me, it sounds like old rock 'n' roll...when did Alice do that?? I'm amazed so many of you like it..it doesn't sound like anything he's done before!?

Yeah, it's rather difficult to give a fair comment on the track as the sound quality is very very poor. The song structure doesn't appeal to me one bit, it has an old rock 'n' roll feel which doesn't move me and isn't really Alice Cooper...he's one step away from 12 bar blues..ughh! Sorry, a 'thumb...

Not heard it, so can't comment. However, I liked the fun trash on ZSC..so it maybe OK to me!!?? How can I hear it? Anyone? What I will say is it's nearly impossible to get right into a track immediately. Re WYM avatar: And I dont see anything suggestive? I DO! :rotfl: :rotfl: Edited By GIX on 11149...
