Re: Supermen ripped off.

Thank you for your excellent reply, upon further investigation of the website, the review is seemingly by singer/songwriter Julian Cope (The Teardrop Explodes). Cope also reviewed Pretties for You, Easy Action, Don’t Blow your Mind (Recorded Live in Toronto 1970) and Killer. The review for Love it t...

Supermen ripped off.

Whilst perusing a Julian Cope website, I happened upon this review of 'Love it to Death' it is an interesting read, but the following stuck out like a sore thumb and would appreciate your view of this, the site is linked below so you can read it in context, but here is the part that sparked my query...

Re: Road in the charts

Having checked Music Week, it seems Road had 4,563 sales for the first week, it sounds low, the top album had managed 7,649 sales. Claire Richard's new entry at number one, obviously she would have a broader appeal than Alice. Most of Road would be physical sales, whereas Richards would have a bigge...

Re: "Road" - Reviews

Though Road is not a classic Cooper album, it is to my ears an enjoyable listen, which is the least I would hope for. I have listened to this more times than Detroit Stories, which was okay, but suffered with sounding uninspired. I think the band pull off great and credible performances and shows th...

Re: Pretties for you.... Easy action........

I have a great fondness for PFY and EA, a friend of mine had it as a gift when it was released as School Days and hated it (he didn’t mention it at the time) so I bought it from him. I listened to it continuously, at the time I only owned Killer, I felt I had to put the listening time in to get anyt...

Re: I'm Alice

After many listens, through speakers and headphones, I like the song and can see why it's an opener as it sets the scene, my only quibble is the production seems muddy, Alice is right up in the mix, but everything else is just thrown together in the background, which is a shame. I like the song's ar...

Re: Setlist April 28---spoilers

The first point to make is that I haven’t seen the new show, I have, however, caught a few videos online, most are very short. The set list posted is not inspired, I accept that the ‘hits’ have to be present, but Lost in America, it is an okay song that works within the Last Temptation album, but li...

The Castle Set by Gallagher Staging

I stumbled across this site by the company that built the Castle stage set up, some interesting images, worth a look if you haven't seen this stuff before.

Re: 1st date of the fall tour 9/7/22 in Bethlehem, PA

Having watched a lot of the videos that have surfaced with Kane, there is an improvement in his performance, it still does seem a little lost on stage, though it's clear the band have tried to encourage him. Kane's playing style is very individual, but occasionally, he seems to stop playing after a ...

It was shown in 3D if you had a suitable TV and 3D specs, I watched it on the night it was broadcast. Below a press release.

Re: The Worst Alice lyric

These lyrics from '(In Touch With) Your Feminine Side' are dreadful; I shudder when I hear them and not a shudder in a scared way! There's a few lines on this album that I think are pretty bad. Alice hyped the concept so much that I was hoping for some really clever lyrics (and there are some that ...

Re: Good to see you again,AC

I had never heard of any film crew that requested less light. I found it interesting that, for most of their show, the WTMN band was kept in the shadows as well. Likely to clarify Alice as a solo entity, and perhaps to keep the audience from realizing it wasn't the Alice Cooper group. I always look...

Re: A Paranormal Evening At The Olympia Paris DVD / Blu-Ray release

However, I was quite surprised that the Another Brick In The Wall-snippet got cut out during School's Out. Especially because it is on the CD-release of the same concert. That was kind of strange. I noticed that as the 60 minute TV version that was on YouTube had the 'Another Brick in the Wall' seg...

Re: Social Debris

I like the song, but it isn't a classic to my ears despite the original band's input, plus I note the guitar solo at 1:38 has a cheeky little nod to the intro of Halo of Flies, or maybe it's my ears!!

Re: New single - 'Our Love Will Change The World'

Whilst it was good news for the single to part of Radio 2's playlist, it is the C playlist with the A playlist being the one the presenters play the most. Alice has been selected to remain on the C playlist for a second week. 'Our Love...' was played 3 times over the course of the week, maybe it wil...
