Re: Alice Cooper Old School Boxset

yes, the cover sticker was easily (but carefully) removed.

stuck the sticker on one of those clear plastic 45 sleeves and then put the 7" in the sleeve.

still digesting all of the box, but I am quite happy with it! Much gratitude from me also to everyone involved in the project.

Re: ACAS- your view now?

while it is not my favorite AC album, I like it a lot more than some folks. My only disappointment was that the story was not all that scary. Perhaps the bar has been raised so high on what constitutes "horror" in pop culture these days as compared to the '70s... can anyone truly "shock" anyone anym...

Re: Little Rock, AR Halloween Hootenanny!

Yeah I can only afford about one ticket a year anymore, and Alice was the Show for 2010. Personally, the coolest part was this: "From The Inside" is my favorite AC album. While Alice was singing the title track, I was singing right along. One of my favorite lines is "it's hard to see where the vicio...

Re: Little Rock, AR Halloween Hootenanny!

NOW THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT!!! Awesome show last night! After Alice's performance, I sat there waiting for Rob to start, and a song from a long time ago entered my head... from Damon's first band's debut album, "Hard Act To Follow." I like Rob Zombie just fine, and he and his band put on a better show ...

Re: Theatre of Death DVD

Just got my DVD/CD this weekend and that is by far the best money I've spent lately! What a cool show! About the vinyl, my local shop keeps my pretty well updated on Alice Cooper vinyl, well, actually all vinyl I might be interested in... and he has not mentioned any official vinyl being available. ...

Pretty sure it was Megadeth that covered No More Mr. Nice Guy for the "Shocker" soundtrack

Re: Pat Boone

Pat Boone recorded an entire album of hard rock/metal songs titled "In A Metal Mood" iirc.
Was released in the mid-'90s. I have the CD. I listen to it at least once every 5 years whether I want to or not. "No More Mr. Nice Guy" is on it, along with all kinds of other cool songs.

Re: guitar hero

I can't wait. Not only for the AC songs that
will be included, but these things usually
have "related" songs too... songs in the genre,
songs Alice might like or bands that have been
influenced by Alice. I can't wait.

Re: Welcome to my NEW VINYL

picked my copy up last night. As was mentioned, the gatefold is a somewhat more artful copy of the original inside sleeve. (lyrics and a photo of AC and a black widow) Also as speculated the inside sleeve of the new release is the high-grade plain white paper. The back cover is slightly different. S...

Re: Alice magazine content

sorry, didn't have the magazine with me yesterday when I posted. The issue with Alice's Soupy Sales tribute is in Entertainment Weekly, "Late Greats 2009 Special Tribute Issue" #1078, 12/4/09, page 45.

Re: SHOCKER-Alice Not nominated again! but.............

Can't say with certainty that Alice's views are keeping him out of the HOF, but having dealt with the radio and record business, I can tell you that 90% of the people I spoke with were always shocked to hear that I was in the business and held conservative Christian values. It's so uncommon, everyon...

Re: SHOCKER-Alice Not nominated again! but.............

In the latest issue of Rolling Stone (got a free trial - not renewing) there is a one page article on how artists are selected for the HOF. The author goes over the qualifications for nomination, and as previously mentioned it certainly looks like Alice is, if anything, overqualified for selection. ...

Re: Again Alice Skips the Midsouth

Alice played in Little Rock on the PsychoDrama tour in August of 2007...not a Memphis date of course, but would count as a Mid-South stop, I would think.
