I have the 2001 BDB DE as well as the DVD Audio release. I'll have to wait until the bonus material on this upcoming release is confirmed before I can decide whether it's worth it for me to buy. I still need to buy the Killer and SO DE CDs.

Re: The 'Secret' Next Album
You also can't have the OG band simply playing their own songs, they'd have to learn a few songs from Alice's solo career, or else that simply wouldn't fly either. Firstly, as has been mentioned in this Forum, a full tour by the Original Group almost certainly won't be happening. Alice has been pre...

Re: The 'Secret' Next Album
Here are my responses to VinceRaven's hopes: 1. I'm flexible, but I think I would find a themed album - loose theme or more substantial - to be preferential. 2. Apparently 14 songs were recorded. I don't know if all of them will be included, but I can agree w/VR that 8-10 songs could be the better o...

Re: The Lace and Whiskey Era
Awhile ago I listened to Ubangi Stomp and 2 or 3 other songs on L&W; to me the former song sounded awful but the other songs, while not good weren't as bad as I expected them to be. As an apology has been made, perhaps tuneylune can be given a 'suspended sentence?'

Re: What album best represents the full catalogue?
I think it would be B$B mainly as it sums up the whole point and goal of the band. Alice's solo success was launched from that album as WTMN is the natural follow up to that album. MOL, although a decent album, was a step back both musically and theatrical Listen to B$B and WTMN and it's incredible...

Re: Alice's Band Mates: An Appreciation
I would love to see the originals but could they do a hour and a half show physically? Alice gets his break while the band jams as currently played. Not sure how you could get breaks for the band. Or perhaps a hybrid show with the current band and the originals as they have done previously but this...

I might never have heard of Screaming Lord Sutch if I hadn't become a Deep Purple fan; former DP guitarist Ritchie Blackmore was affiliated w/Sutch in the 60's.

Re: Crazy Little Child
I hope it's okay if I chime in here before Dennis replies...I have Michael Bruce's book, No More Mr. Nice Guy within which Michael states that CLC was originally a song written by himself while in high school (during the 60's) but that the final version recorded for the MOL album was very different....

Re: CHEMICAL REACTION ( Rating The Un released and Bonus Cuts )
In his book Dennis wrote about how Coal Black Model T (the original version of SBL) was the first song the ACG worked on for the BDB album and that the song originated with him. TBH I've never considered SBL to be good enough for the album but I do like the song.

Correction re. 2): Dennis, MB and BE are credited as the writers for UMW. I believe I've read that Alice had no part in writing/co-writing the song.

I got into thrash (metal) in 1985 and Alice is one of my favourite singers, if not my favourite. So that combination could be interesting.

Dennis wrote: All in all, thanks to Warner/Rhino for releases that show integrity, and thanks to all of you for your continuing enthusiasm. Re: Vampires play Paranoid with Tony Iommi
Thanks for the thread/providing the link here. I became both a Black Sabbath and an Alice Cooper (Group) Fan in 1982 and I got into Aerosmith about 2 years earlier, so although Tony is arguably playing with a different Group here, it's a treat seeing him playing live along with Alice and Joe Perry. ...

Re: I'm Alice
A number of very good points were made by Si in his last lengthy post above and by Parish in his comments afterward. Yes, 'lightning in a bottle' was captured by the ACG with their 7 album run. It is for this reason that I confine myself to the 5 year period within which their albums were recorded a...

Great question babysquid and, as always a great reply from Dennis. I need to re-listen to live recordings I have of My Stars on the Deluxe Edition of BDB and a bootleg (audience recording) of the song from the Dec. '73 Holiday Tour to try to ascertain what GB played, if audible on both/either record...

Re: Best Alice Cooper album closer
I've never seen West Side Story. Does The Grand Finale play into it somehow? I've never been a musical guy. I just don't get them. I can remember watching the Wizard of Oz as a very young boy and thinking how much I hated all the singing. The only exception is the Blues Brothers. The theatrical cut...

Re: Best Alice Cooper album closer
p.s. Alma Mater would have probably been my number one pick if, y'know, it was actually the last track on the album. I kinda think it should have been. Edit: not that I think it's an amazing song or anything. I just think it's a great way to close out the album. I've always considered School's Out ...

Re: Best Alice Cooper album closer
My first ACG choice would definitely be Killer. Not being an Alice solo fan, I won't consider a closing song from that Era.
