I'm not sure if i agree with you or not on this, I mean Alice could possibly play arena's but if you look at it from a financial perspective its better to completly sell out a smaller arena than playing a big arena. and with the radio show concept for the album there's no limit to what the two of them can do creatively.

ZCS is an awesome album there is'nt a song on there that i really dont like. I love Zorro's ascent.

On the first listen of special forces I didnt really like it but I find that its one that grows on you and now it's one of my favourite albums (Don't talk old to me is an awesome song)

i agree that a newer version of WTMN would be amazing, but it sets the bar incrediblly high.
Also i think alice will stay with the straight foward hard rock like on his newer albums, but if you could combine that with the craziness of and softer sound of WTMN it could be fantastic.
