Re: Anyone spot the inconsistent reasoning?

That reminds me, last Christmas someone down the pub offered me eight legs of Venison, for forty quid . . . do you think that's too deer?

Re: Zipper Catches Skin

Even knowing it's there, I can't see it in the album or CD cover. Hunter When the album was actually in the record racks it wasn't too easy to spot either, even with full 20/20 Technicolor vision! I also only 'stumbled' across it by accident. At the time, I think this L.P. was possibly Alices' best...

Re: Zipper Catches Skin

In Generation Landslide '81 (the Special Forces version which has this additional verse) the line is;- "No one give an oink about Prom night or football etc........." I think in this context the word 'oink' possibly replaces something far more harsh, also single syllable, four letters and ending wit...

Re: Zipper Catches Skin

But there is something about ZCS that gets me everytime I listen to it. Can't disagree with you there! For me it is Patty and what seems to be a very special 'chemistry' to the humour going on. Plus some of the guitar parts are given a 'produced punk' feel - not as 'raw' as Special Forces' - but wh...

Re: Zipper Catches Skin

My Favourite from the early 80's era has to be either ZCS or DaDa. But out of the 2, I prefer ZCS. Both are good and both are 'unusual' Alice Cooper albums (in my opinion), and yet I sense each one is diametrically opposed to the other. As I mentioned before, Dada still has the humour but of a much...

Re: Zipper Catches Skin

The riff in Adaptable is amazing. So Catchy. I'd go with that too - I should have mentioned it earlier. Plus, I wonder how many other Rock artists can claim to have worked in conjunction with Lalo Schifrin? That must feature as significant event in any musicians career, and his (L.S.'s) quot...

Re: Zipper Catches Skin

I think Zipper is doubtless one of Alices 'lighter' albums in terms of the humourous elements that he very cleverly employs, starting with the album title and even the unique cover design. The common Alice themes of sex, death and money are maintained through the album, but in a very obviously light...

Re: "Closest Shot" At Waste Management Phoenix Open $40k

"It's all about charity and having a great time at the 16th hole," said tournament chairman David Rauch, who called the contest a "fantastic way to start the tournament." I profess to know next to nothing about golf, aside from there being 18 holes on a regular course; but isn't the 'fun-time' norma...

Re: Alice Tattoo ideas???

Echoing Lisa, I respectfully suggest that if you don't already know what you want, you shouldn't be thinking about getting a tattoo.... The above kind of reminded me of the following;- There is a 'true' story from the UK about a man who had a number of tattoos all over his body, including (on his s...

Oh and lets not forget Bowie's dress cover for The Man Who Sold The World 1971. As a little 'aside' I find it interesting that PFY was released with Alice in a dress; and yet when Bowie released The Man Who Sold the World, the 'Man Dress' cover was switched in the U.S.A. for a cartoon style illustr...
