Re: Australian Tour 2024

As well as the Pandemonium Festival dates, a sideshow has just been announced on April 23rd at Newcastle Entertainment Centre, NSW, with Alice headlining, Deep Purple as support and Gyroscope opening. Full set for Alice. Presale starts tomorrow. Tickets still being sold for this. I follow a guy who...

Re: Australian Tour 2024

The promoter has a long history of this kind of thing happening. Including cancelled festivals in the past where tickets were not refunded. It's beyond insane that Alice Cooper's people went with this guy without doing the research on what the promoter has delivered in the past. And if they did the...

Re: Australian Tour 2024

Unfortunately it looks like the whole festival is cancelled. Tickets are still being sold and the promoters office have been evasive, but local news stations are reporting its been canned. I saw the news report on channel 9 and when they called the promoter - Apex Entertainment and asked if the fes...

Re: 2024

Melbourne venue is a genuine surprise, only 10 mins from my house. Not keen on festivals in general, as you need to get a good spot early and protect it for hours by the time Alice comes on. That said, this is a genuinely good line up. I've found in the past that often the hardcore fans of the band...

Not officially announced (yet) but it looks like an Australian tour with Deep Purple, Blondie and a bunch of others will likely be officially announced soon.

Re: Screaming Lord Sutch on Alice Cooper

I love Alice, but he needs to stop saying he was the first. Maybe "breakthrough" would be a better word. Lord Sutch was barely a blip on the radar, even at the height of his popularity. He largely relied on Hollywood films to do his legwork. The whole Alice thing evolved on a completely different l...

Re: Desmond Child Thoughts

I don't think there was any missed opportunity with Hey Stoopid. That ridiculous success of Trash was a perfect culmination of timing and commercial capitilisation that wasn't going to be reproduced in 1991 no matter who was producing or co-writing.
Hey Stoopid was a far better record regardless IMO.

Re: Starring Alice Cooper - pictorial autobiography

do these guys deliberately have stupid marketing? no mention i can see of what the "treasures" are, so people are just expected to pay and hope? Was going to say this. At those prices then you would expect full transparency, not vague terminology. Or do people wait until May to see that their treas...

Re: "Road" - Reviews

I heard this comment once from a teenager. " my grandma and grandpa are going to see some old guy at the casino". The old guy that were referring to was: Alice Cooper. Ahah... Well this is so far from the reality here in Europe, where AC audience is much younger and there are no casinos with showro...

Finally about the mysterious 30th album...why does everyone assume its the original band? As far as I know its been listed as a surprise...which of course we can speculate its them but has anyone actually said its the OG band???
Apparently Mike Bruce let it slip a while ago.

Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023

Solid album that I've had on rotation since release, and for me the best album top to bottom in quite a while. The lyrics on a couple tracks are puerile and silly on purpose, but it's tongue firmly in cheek, it's kind of the point and it's a little late in the game to be finding Alice Cooper lyrics ...

Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023

And this here is a perfect example of the diversity of opinions. I thought Our Love Will Change The World was the best track on DS. It's so off the wall I can totally see why it wouldn't click with everyone though. It's my favorite on the CD as well. While an objective exploration of a song or albu...

I mean look at detroit stories, our love will change the world and rock and roll. give me a break. I mean i like the rock and roll cover enough but shouldnt ever be a single. Our love will change the world, i despise that track with a burning passion. And this here is a perfect example of the diver...
