Re: Is The Casual Fan Ruining Alice Cooper?

No, the casuals are keeping the whole train rolling. What is hurting the show right now is the notion that you have to try to "appeal" to them in a way that pretty much undermines the faith of the hardcore audience. Alice Cooper having a permanent covers section in his show (and I honestly worry it ...

Re: Was Trash A Fluke?

was trash a fluke? not at all. its about as calculated an album as you can get. and responsible for a completely new generation of fans, including me. these days its easy to take the cynical point of view and trash (excuse the pun) the album but it is every bit as important as every landmark album i...

Re: I just came back from the Dennis Dunaway book signing...

OK, now that a bunch of idiotic posts have been deleted, I look forward to a fairly level headed interpretation of the early ACG Group. Should be good reading. Mods please delete my past few posts. :)

Really get a kick out of all the positive Alice reviews Alice g...

Re: Where did Alice go??

Just a couple thoughts regarding this. There have been some valid and not so valid points regarding Alice's recent setlists and more recently his opening slot on Motley Crue's tour. I literally just got back from Alice opening for Crue here in Melbourne. Australia, and no matter how many times I've ...

Re: A Connection...

Here's an example.... I am made of you I've heard some people interpret this as Alice talking to Steven, or even Alice talking to Vincent. For me, the lyrics sound quite spiritual and are talking about Vincent's relationship with God. But i'm probably way off the mark. I think Vincent's relationshi...

Re: Any Reports of the Albuquerque, NM show ?

we're at a stage where a lot of these vintage artists don't really shake it up too much as far as their setlist. Blue Oyster Cult have basically ben playing the same show for years (and I saw them last month and they were fantastic) Alice has a very dependable repertoire of songs he occasionally rot...

Re: Class act Alice.... at Revolver Golden Gods Awards 2013

I likesome some of Mansons music, own a few of his albums and have been to see him live.
That said, he is making a bit of a goose of himself. He's intelligent and articulate when he wants to be. Here he comes off as desperate and obnoxious for the sake of it.

Re: Alice solo tracks that are now classics in your opinion

Poison, as much as some cringe when they hear it, would have to defined as a classic. Was a considerable hit, has certainly endured the test of time, is instantly recognizable and still occasionally gets played in the nightclubs down here. A massive generation of fans were introduced to Alice throug...

All over the place, and of little quality in the songwriting department. :(
I find it the opposite way, I actually think this features some very sharp and witty lyrics.

Re: Frank Sinatra Did Not Cover "You And Me" By Alice Cooper

We all know Alice embellishes or "dresses up" a lot of his anecdotes. I personally don't see why it would bother anyone. Alice is a pure showman and entertainer, if there was a vindictive or malicious edge to his stories, then that's one thing. But there's not. Most "legendary" tales that have been...

Re: Favourite Alice Story

I remember him once telling a story about how some kids gave him a box with a cat's heart in it. Does anyone remember that or have a link to that interview? I think he said it on an American chat show. Maybe Letterman. He also said that story on Rove, an Australian chat show, when he was in town fo...
