Re: keepin' halloween alive

I understand it is supposed to be a little lighthearted and fun, but ultimately for me, it doesn't quite work! The upside is the fact its a good way to test the water on releasing product initially on download. As I have said elsewhere, at least its not 'The Laughing Gnome'!!!!

The amendment has been made! Phew! 'Tour The King of Theater Rock is making history once again, this time with an ALL NEW THEATRE OF DEATH SHOW! Re: "New interpretation" !

'think to say as it sounds like he's rehashing an old production, which as far as we understand isn`t the case at all!'

Agreed, after what has been implied about a 'new show',it would be a little disappointing. However, I for one will try and remain optimistic!

Re: uk festivals-why no Alice say at Glastonbury?

I met Michael Eavis around 2006, when I was staying with a friend in Pilton. My friend is on 'nodding' terms with Michael(though I think everyone is,in that neck of the woods)! and when we bumped into him in Glastonbury town centre, I did ask if he would consider Alice, Michael gave a wry smile and ...

Re: Michael Jackson gets the credit.....

'No one took theatrics to the extreme that Alice Cooper (band and solo) did.'

I agree 100%, indeed if you look at any footage of Brown, Hawkins or Sutch, its clear that it was more for novelty value than a genuine desire to expand theatrics in rock music!

Re: Michael Jackson gets the credit.....

Of course Screaming Lord Sutch was inspired by Screamin' Jay Hawkins who had used props such as coffins in his show! The bottom line is 'Alice Cooper' took the concept to a higher professional level and in my mind its not necessarily who did it first, but who took the risk to make it work as a piece...

I hope his friends and family have read these posts, because it is patently obvious Brian had earned a huge amount of respect for the person he was and not just because of who worked for!

Respect to you 'Renfield' :(

Re: He Comes...

Excellent news! I don't think I have been to the Plymouth Pavilions before. I did their virtual tour http://www.plymouthpavilions.com/virtua ... index.html
and the Arena reminds me a little of the Bournemouth NEC, and its seems to have a low stage!!!!

Re: Charts

I know this is very late in the day, I was scanning Music week (online edition) (UK version of Billboard) and found this article prior to the release of Along came a spider, it would seem a higher chart position was predicated! 10:49 | Tuesday July 29, 2008 By Paul Williams Nine Inch Nails’ new albu...
