Re: No Alice for RSD?

Yeah I missing W2MN and Along Came a Spider from my Vinyl collection (obviously have both on CD). I started collecting Vinyl recently and the prices on those are ridiculous. Need those two for my collection.

Re: Detroit Stories #1 in Germany

Not that chart numbers mean a ton these days but the U.S. and Canada numbers are disappointing to say the least. He had 7 Top 10's throughout the world at this point. I thought Detroit Stories would be at least in the 30's here in the United States.

Re: Touring band to feature on next album!

I am very excited about the prospect of this and I hope the band is allowed to flat out rock. I want to hear Nita Shred and I would love to hear Chuck write like he does with Beasto Blanco. I am hoping for a much heavier sounding album than the last several. I actually would love to hear sort of a c...

Re: I Hate You

It is one of the weak spots on the album. The end of it is definitely well meaning but definitely not in the top half of the songs on the album.

Re: Touring band to feature on next album!

I am really excited about the possibility of the current touring band recording with Alice. The current band is my favorite of Alice's great career. I hope this happens and I hope the band is allowed to truly help write the album they want to make. Detroit Stories has its moments but I am tired of th...

Re: Detroit Stories Review

I think is a good though not spectactular album. I like it better than Paranormal and Along Came a Spider but not as much as the others. Actually the original band songs are the ones that are kind of Meh in my opinion. I would probably give the album a 7 out of 10 overall but the production is a bit...

Re: Social Debris

I understand Dragontown, but the thing is I feel she should be given the opportunity. I loved her solo record. Let's also remember that it was an instrumental album. Her new one coming up later this year is going to have vocals on a few songs and the other members of the current touring band have do...

Re: Social Debris

I must respectfully disagree regarding Nita Strauss. Many guitarists out there including Steve Vai sing her praises and she is constantly winning awards. She is the best thing to happen to Alice in the last several years because she has brought him some new press and has great stage presence and her...

Re: Social Debris

I third Rick Rubin, especially if you give him enough control over the direction of the album. I would like to see Alice go back into a heavier direction with a little more shredding than say Brutal Planet and Dragontown. Letting Nita Strauss shred on an Alice album would be great.

Re: Social Debris

To Si's point, a good comparison was the last Ozzy Osbourne album, Ordinary Man. Ozzy sounded good on it and some of the songs were not bad, so technically nothing wrong with it except it didn't sound like an Ozzy album. It sounded like an album of songs with Ozzy singing on them. It could have been...

Re: Social Debris

There is no question the guitar solo is amazing in Social Debris. Here is the thing and this of course is my own opinion. I am an Alice diehard and I like all eras of Alice. In fact I am actually an even bigger fan of many of Alice's solo eras than the original band as good as they were. That being ...

Re: The Alice Cooper Show 1977

I never disliked that album, I just didn't think it had much edge. And I knew a few people who were into let's say KISS Alive (I was never a big KISS fan myself) and others that became fans of a band because of a live album. I know of a person or two whose first exposure to Alice was the Alice Coope...

Re: Album opinion change

For me it is The Eyes of Alice Cooper. I really really liked the heavier direction of Brutal Planet and Dragontown and before that I loved Hey Stoopid and The Last Temptation. When the Eyes came out, I didn't care that much for it but now I love it. I am a bigger solo Alice fan than the original ban...

Nita Strauss was lobbying for something off RYFAY to be played for years. She and Kane Roberts are good friends.

Re: New single - 'Our Love Will Change The World'

Okay this is long and it pains me to even right this because as an Alice diehard I truly love almost everything he has done. But that being said, I try to be objective and I do not like the new song. Yes the original is good and Alice's vocals sound fine on his remake but we are talking about Alice ...

Re: Are Alice's Touring Days Over?

Alice has said he will never retire and he is still a really good live act so there is no reason to believe he cannot tour at a high level for at least another 5 years or more, so he definitely is not done.
