Some years back (`77?) when asked what his favourite book was Alice said 'Interview With A Vampire'

Alice had almost acquired the [movie] rights to "Interview with a Vampire" when it first came out (like 20 years ago). He also used to have a German Shepard in the early 80's named Lestat.
(Renfield, February 1996)

I saw an interview with Anne Rice way back in 1977 or 78, right after I read "Interview", and she had wanted Alice to play Louis and I think Sting to play Lestat.
(Remmy, February 1996)

Several sources over the years have quoted Alice stating that his favourite writer is Kurt Vonnegut.
