Catching up on the last week or so and the big news is Calico Cooper's engagement to boyfriend Jed Williams. Calico posted a brilliant photo of the proposal with Alice and grandma in the background which just has to be seen. Congrats to all.
The will be a tribute concert to the late Dick Wagner on January 10th at the Fillmore Detroit. The bill includes Mark Farmer (Grand Funk), Brad Whitford (Aerosmith), Derek St Holmes (Ted Nugent), Marshall Crenshaw and Dick's solo band. Proceeds go to the Childrens Miracle Network.
A few mainstream news sources have jumped on a report at the DC Beacon refering to an interview in HM magazine in which Alice talks in depth about his religious beliefs, and making it appear that this is a new interview. In fact, unless HM have reprinted it in a new issue, the quotes they use come from an interview originally published back in 2002!!

Celebrity Doodle Challenge
Alice Cooper guitarist Tommy Henriksen is taking part in the 'Celebrity Doodle Challenge' which aims to help charities caring for severely ill and abused children by donating a doodle sheet will be going up for auction early next year. Don't miss the chance to get your own slice of Tommy's mind on paper.
Check out http://celebritydoodlechallenge.weebly.com for more info. Tradition dictates that each entrant throws down the gauntlet to two others, so Tommy has nominated his band mates Ryan Roxie and Nita Strauss!
There's been a little more coverage of the Pudding show in the last couple of days including a review at the Examiner.
Variety reports that 'School's Out' has been inducted into the Grammy Hall Of Fame. Each year a special member committee determines a group of recordings, at least 25 years old, which exhibit qualitative or historical importance to induct. A bit of a shame Variety choose to use a picture of Alice from 1975 rather then the band who recorded the song.
Sadly I also have to report the passing of another important figure in the history of Alice Cooper,. Michael Ashley Pandel, on Deceember 10th. Pandel moved to NYC to work as the Press Officer for the band that became “Alice Cooper”, directing publicity and promotional strategies, remaining throughout their most successful years before moving on in 1975 to become a successful restaurateur.

The annual Alice Cooper Christmas Puddingshow was this weekend and for the first time Alice and the band performed a full show, theatrics and all, for those lucky enough to be there. The show apparently ran very late, AC and crew didn't take the stage until after midnight, and the setlist seems to have been changed up a little as they ended with 'Revolution' rather then playing it during a 'Raise The Dead' section. AZ Central have a report and photos from the night which also included a short set by Nightranger who currently feature Keri Kelli on guitar.
Before the Pudding Alice talked to the Phoenix New Times about both the pudding and the Solid Rock thrift store which you can see here. They also have a show review here.
Albert Bouchard of Blue Coupe will be on the air again this Tuesday on WFKU for the Origins 2014 Christmas Show which you can listen onine to at www.wfku.org. The show airs at 7pm EST.

RIP Chris Leahey
From the official Alice Cooper facebook:
"We've lost a good soul in Rock N Roll. Chris "Frank" Leahey was a stage tech for our tours and became like family when he came in with Chuck Garric. Chris had some personal struggles like many do, but ultimately he lost his battle and he passed away peacefully in Mesa Arizona surrounded by family. Chuck Garric wrote a touching note to Chris, R.I.P. Frank, we love and miss you!!"
You can check out Chuck's note here.
Alice visited Fox10 in Phoenix the other day to promote the Xmas pudding show and you can watch it here.
