Alice Cooper takes ALS Challenge

Last nights show in Virginia Beach ended in a unique way. Some of you may be aware of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge that is currently all over the internet, especially in the US. The idea is that you pour a bucket of ice water over your head and challenge others to do the same within 24 hours or donate $100 to ALSA.org, an organisation for research into Lou Gehrig's Disease (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). Well, Bon Jovi drummer Tico Torres challenged Alice and after the show last night Alice took up that challenge, and called out tour mates Motley Crue and Johnny Depp who now have to do the same within 24 hour!
AC.com have excellent video and photos of what happened with Nita, Ryan and Glen pouring the bucket and Chuck and Sheryl talking to the audience!
Of course Alice's isn`t one to skimp when it comes to charity so he's offered also offered to auction the American Flag stage shirt he was wearing and his post ice bath robe to benefit ALSA.org.

New Steve Hunter Live CD/DVD

Los Angeles, CA - For the first time ever, Blues Rock Guitarist Steve Hunter, renowned for his work with Peter Gabriel, Lou Reed and Alice Cooper, is captured on film playing a career-spanning anthology in an intimate setting with some of the worlds finest players.
The DVD, entitled 'Tone Poems Live', was filmed on August 24th 2013 at a recording studio in LA. Alongside Steve was Tony Levin on Bass (Peter Gabriel, King Crimson) Phil Aaberg on Keyboards (Elvin Bishop, Peter Gabriel) Alvino Bennett on Drums (Dave Mason, Robin Trower).
They rehearsed for two days and filmed on the third day as though it were in front of an audience. Fourteen tunes, each played twice, with no overdubs added later. The material was chosen from most of Steve’s solo albums plus a few covers, including ‘Solsbury Hill’ ‘What’s Going On’ and Stevie Ray Vaughan’s ‘Riviera Paradise’.
This is the first time Steve Hunter has ever been filmed doing his own material plus material of his own choice. Steve is now legally blind and all though not out of the question, touring has become more of a challenge. The recording session was produced and recorded by Brian Brinkerhoff and Paul Lani.
The release date is September 1st to CDBaby, Amazon and iTunes but you can get a signed copy of either CD, DVD or CD/DVD bundle early by checking out SteveHunter.com.
