Roxie Wants Intimate Shows
The Ryan Roxie/Casablanca shows announced last week have unfortunatly been postponed, but Roxie still wants to come to the UK to play! We are setting up a few intimate acoustic nights during which Ryan will play songs from his entire career including some Alice songs never performed live before as well as material from Roxie 77, Casablanca, Electric Angels and other surprises.
So far we have shows on November 17th in Bedford and November 21st in London (a guitar clinic followed by a show), exact details to follow, but are looking for pubs or music shops, small intimate venues, between these two dates that would be interested in having a show, especially major towns like Glasgow and Birmingham where more fans would be able to get to the shows. If you know of anywhere and can promise 'nothing but a good time' then drop me a line and we'll see what can be arranged. Obviously this is only a couple of weeks away so time is of the essesence.

Alice appeared on the BBC Radcliffe And Marconie show on Monday which you can listen again to at BBC iPlayer depending on your location.

Film News have a report from the BFI appearance which is worth checking out. The whole event was filmed and may turn up on the BFI site at some point.

Damon Johnson has confirmed he will be with Thin Lizzy when they hit the UK next year to tour. Check out the Thin Lizzy site for full dates. These have been on sale for a while but there are still standing tickets available for you to see Damon up close.

There's been some French press turning up including a report at Maville, a short interview at Nord Eclair, a long article at RTL which seems to relate to a radio show being aried on Saturday at 11PM French time, and a chance to win the album as well.
(Thanks François)

Catching Up
Back home at STUK HQ after an amazing week on the road in the UK. Below I'll try and catch up with everything that has come through this last week but first I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone for making this such a fun week including the legenday Alice Cooper and Shep Gordon, the super cool Steve and Karen Hunter, the well respected Tommy Henriksen, Bass God Chuck Garric, the drum superstar Glen Sobel, the devine Miss Orianthi, Cesare and the whole crew (without whom there would be NO show), Pat Nowak, Andy Michael and everyone who works so hard to put on the greatest show on the planet.
Special thanks are due to the amazing Toby Mamis who came through for the fans yet again this year, going out of his way, even when snowed under with other things to do, to personally help sort out problems that arose for fans especially in London and Manchester, and do his very best to make sure everyone was taken care of in the face of venue stupidity. I doubt many bands have someone who cares as much as Toby about such things and we are very lucky to have him. Thank You all.

Anyway, on with the news in no particular order. Apologise if some of this is too late but getting a connection on the road proved very difficult this year.

Alice posted a brief Halloween greeting on YouTube. He also introducees his Top 13 scary videos also on YouTube.

Arthur Brown joined in the Halloween fun at the London show to perform his big hit 'Fire' at the end of Alice's performance with the band nailing the song!

Various long and short interviews: Birmingham Express and Star, Los Angeles Times, The Telegraph, Music News, Daily Record, Saga Magazine (thanks Hannah), Macon.com, Daily Star, The Independent, Metrolyrics, ESPN (a long interview), The Big Issue,
Q Magazine, and Reelz (short video about BFI appearance).

Dennis Dunaway: 23rd October Blue Coupe played at May Pang's Birthday party in New York City and tonight they are playing two shows at Iridium in Times Square, New York with special guest Goldie McJohn from Steppenwolf. Dennis also checked in with 'The Five Count' for Halloween which you can currently hear at their site.

Neal Smith's new 'Killsmith 2' album should be arriving in mail boxes around now (it's arrived here). You can check out the full press release here. STUK Review will follow. You can order the album from NealSmithRocks.com.

Alice's visit to the House Of Commons is covered by the Belfast Telegraph, The Sun (photo), Reuters (video),and  Ham and High (photo)

Guitar International review 'Welcome 2 My Nightmare'.

Alice was presenting UK music quiz show 'Never Mind The Buzzcocks' yesterday in London. The show will air Monday 14th November at 10pm on BBC2.

Alice also appeared on BBC 5Live to talk about his favourite TV moments which you can hear on their site.

Alice was listed as appearing on Sirius radio yesterday on channel 145's 'Scream Radio' sharing 'scary songs and Halloween themed stories'.

The Scotsman has run a story about Bill Crowe's stolen van as reported last week. Again if anyone is offered anything that they think could come from Bill's collection PLEASE get in touch so we can catch them.

The Winnepeg Free Press has an article about Alice wanting a statue erected to honor the famous Toronto Chicken! Of course Alice never 'killed' a chicken, until two days ago in Glasgow on Halloween! Photos to follow!

Keri Kelli was with the 'Big Ball Stars' for a Halloween bash at the Key Club in Hollywood on Sunday. He's heading off this week to work on the new 'Shameless' CD in Germany. Some will remember previousl 'Shameless' albums have featured Keri and Eric Singer. There's also brand new Keri merchandise up now in the KK store.

Gibson.com have an article highlighting some of Alice's great guitarists from Glen to Orianthi.

A few more details about Alice's cameo in Tim Burton's 'Dark Shadows' are revealed at Comic Book Movie. Alice plays himself in the film, which is set in 1972 – Depp’s character, the recently revived vampire Barnabas Collins, hires the rock star to play a private ball at his seaside home in Maine.

There is an official Alice Cooper ' Welcome 2 My Nightmare' Air Rock App which is a "one-of-a-kind app transforms your iPhone or iPod Touch into the perfect air guitar or air drum kit so you can rock out to Alice's ace new album like you've never rocked before. Play-along with exclusive interactive songs from 'Welcome 2 My Nightmare' or remix tracks with Alice Cooper's freaky AIR FX, you control the nightmare!" Presumably you can grab this from iTunes.

Orianthi's new EP entitled 'Fire' is out now on iTunes and well worth checking out.

Use the code 'HALLOWEEN10' at the official Alice store to get 10% off orders for Halloween.

VH-1 Classic in the USA will be showing highlights from this years UK Download festival on November 8th. Presumably this will be the show aired on Sky Arts a few months ago in the UK.

As mentioned before the tour Alice and Sheryl took part in a photo shoot for 'OK' magazine a few weeks ago in Italy. The photos and interview are in the current issue on sale now in the UK. Quotes from the interview have been used in various other places including Noisecreep and Digital Spy.

Gigwise has photos from the Sheffield show as well as a rather inacurate one line review... STUK's photos should be online in the photo section in the next day or so. There's a LOT to sort through!
The Birmingham Express and Star also has a review and photos. There's Bristol pics at Flicker. The Sun review the London show. Purple Revolver review Manchester.

If anyone happens to have taken photos at the Birmingham show, and capture a pic of the young lady (Becky) throwing out the balloons during 'School's Out' she would love to have copies. You can email me and I can put you in touch.
