Nightmare Hits The Charts
'Welcome 2 My Nightmare' has debuted in the US Bilboard charts at #22. According to the press release "The founding father of modern horror rock music explodes onto the Billboard 200 this week landing at #22.  With a music career that started more than 42 years ago, Alice Cooper sits squarely on the charts with current artists such as Lady Gaga, Primus, Bush, and Beyoncé. This amazing achievement for one of music’s most influential artists proves the relevance and popularity of Alice Cooper today. This debut marks Cooper’s highest charting release in over 20 years, and since the incorporation of SoundScan as a method of tracking album sales. The album also debuted on SoundScan’s Hard Music Albums chart at #6 and Rock Albums chart at #11."

More Whisky
A few articles have begun appearing about the Whisky show on Thursday. Rolling Stone has a review and a pic as does Billboard, Ultimate Classic Rock, and Hollywood Reporter.
You can also now listen to the entire Whisky show, anywhere in the world, courtesy of KLOS by clicking here, as well as seeing some more photos from the event.

New Zealand Herald has a short interview with Alice.

Music Radar has a new interview with Orianthi talking about joining up with Alice and the forthcoming tour.

The iPad version of 'Welcome 2 My Nightmare' is now available in the Apple App store in the UK. It appears to include the album, a digital version of the Classic Rock Fan Pack magazine with video introduction and interview, the 'I'll Bite Your Face Off' video, and some other minor interactive stuff. What is strange is that you can't import the songs to your music library, or burn them to CD, and so you can't listen to them in any other way other then within the app .

Today's online reviews include Rolling Stone (if you can really call it a review), Oregon Music News, and Wizzbang.

Live At The Whisky
So the Whisky show is over and it seems a great time was had by everyone. The setlist for the show was: Train Kept A Rollin', Under My Wheels, No More Mr Nice Guy, Is It My Body, Brown Sugar, I'll Bite Your Face Off, Muscle Of Love, Cold Ethyl, We Gotta Get Out Of This Place, Billion Dollar Babies, Break On Through, Back Door Man, Poison, Eighteen, School's Out and Elected. Robbie Kreiger of The Doors joined the band for his band's 'Break On Through' and 'Back Door Man' while Ke$ha jumped up on 'School's Out'. Damon Johnson was also up on stage his last appearance with Alice, at least for a while. Apparently Tom Morello was due to join them for 'Poison' but while he was in the audience he didn't make it on stage. Also in attendance were Rob Zombie (who introduced Alice), Paul Stanley, Eric Singer and Tommy Thayler of Kiss, Tiffiny Lowe, Bob Ezrin and probably more.
From all reports the KLOS netcast worked a treat but was unfortunately only available to those in the USA.

The Orange County Register has an interview with Alice while The Age in Australia interviews Alice and Bob Ezrin.

LA Weekly has a nice centerspread advert for the Universal Halloween event.

New album reviews today at SeatllePI, Popmatters,

According to SMH.Com.au Alice Cooper MAY be playing at the AFL (Australian Football League) Grand Final on Saturday October 1st.

Reality Alice?
The Hollywood Reporter has an article that suggests Alice Cooper is in talks with 'American Idol' producer Nigel Lythgoe about a possible 'unscripted' TV project. After Alice's comments about reality TV (including 'American Idol') in the past you would have thought this would have to be something pretty different to get him interested.

The Examiner has a new interview with Alice.

The Orange County Register has an article about the Universal Studios attraction that launches next week.

Lots of TV and Radio
Alice was on the CBS news talking to Ken Lombardi about the new album and you can watch it here and there's a partial transcription here.

Fox News also have a slice of Alice, this time talking about how romantic Budapest is!!

Alice also called into the Mark and Brian radio show this morning which you can hear in their podcast archive under the "7AM Hour".
According to the official Alice Cooper twitter feed he was also on the 'Bob And Tom' radio show this morning.

Alice Cooper on twitter have also posted a pic of Alice and Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue after Alice appeared on Sixx's radio show 'Sixx Sense' yesterday. I haven`t found anywhere to hear this yet but the shows website does have a listen feature, it's just not available outside the USA.

The Dutch Radio 2 interview from last week is now available as a Podcast here.

According to this press release Alice is supposed to be honoured at this years Eyegore Awards which take place on September 23rd at the opening of the Universal Horror Nights attactions at Universal Studios Hollywood. It may be hard for him to actually be there in person though as he should be travelling between New Zealand and Australia that day! Calico Cooper and Rob Zombie are also listed as attending so presumably they can grab Alice's award for him.

'Nights With Alice Cooper' on facebook is offering signed copies of the vinyl versions of both '..Nightmare' albums and all you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is 'like' their announcement.

The Arizona Republic has a new interview with Alice as does the Miami Herald,

Lots more album reviews have surfaced of course, and they include:  Fear.net, and Ultimate Classic Rock (with competition to win copies).

Ryan Roxie will take part in the annual Russian music exhibition called 'Music Moscow', presenting Gibson guitars. On Friday 16th September he also will do a small set with the local Alice Cooper tribute-act Moscowtown. Then later the same evening Ryan will play the whole 'Alice Cooper classics' set - again with Moscowtown - in the Rock House club in Moscow.

Also in Russia on September 24th Keri Kelli will play an open air biker-fest near the city of Fryazino, which is about 20 km away from Moscow. His set will be a 'rock hits' set, which will include songs from Motley Crue, Guns N' Roses, Kiss and of course Alice Cooper.

Halloween In 3D?
According to Worldscreen 3D versions of selected live performances, including "Alice Cooper's Halloween Night Of Fear' will be offered to broadcasters at  MIPCOM by BBC worldwide. They say "Alice Cooper’s Halloween Night of Fear is to be filmed on October 29th with the set including classics such as “School’s Out,” as well as tracks from Cooper’s new album. The two-hour mix will be available on October 30, 2011 for Halloween broadcasts."

It appears the Classic Rock Fan Pack version of 'Welcome 2 My Nightmare' has arrived at some stores, like Asda, in the UK as well as some some fans receiving their pre-ordered copies from Future Publishing in the mail (but not us!!). In mainland Europe the standard CD's have been seen in the shops as well.

The Gauntlet has posted a very interesting interview with [The Amazing' James Randi about his time with Alice.

Alice was on Dutch Radio 2 last night talking about 'Halo Of Flies' and the current tour on a programme based on the year 1973. It should turn up on a podcast here but isn`t there yet as of this moment.

French magazine 'Rock Hard' has a 6 page article on Alice this month (#113) as well as a front cover.
(Thanks Hervé)

Reviews of the new album are now appearing all over the place both online and in the printed press. Generally they are very positive (as they should be!) but there are of course a few slightly strange ones who don't like it. Here's a few to check out if you feel inclinded: Jukebox Metal, Global Mind, Kerrang!, Popdose, Rock And Roll Geek Show, Mehta Kya Kehta, RushOnRock.

Whiskey Webcast
The Whisky show in LA next week, which went on sale this morning, has now unsurprisingly sold out. However you still have a chance to hear it as KLOS in Los Angeles will be webcasting the whole show live. They also have some tickets for the show to give away.

According to Planet Rock the legendary 'God Of Hellfire' Arthur Brown has been added to the bill  for the London show in October. He joins the previously announced 'New York Dolls'.

Steve Hunter will be taking part in a live Q & A on the Seymour Duncan Group Forums today from 11am to 12pm Pacific time.

Calico Cooper has had her personal website revamped at Calico Cooper.com so make sure you check it out and see what she's up to!

Acording to Rock Star Weekly Keri Kelli has joined Russian band Pushking. You may recognise the band for last years album 'The World As We Love It' which featured both Keri and Alice making guest apearances amongst a host of others.

In case anyone has missed them, Chuck Garric has been posting a few backstage videos to facebook which have been great fun. The best of the bunch so far is 'The Lemon Project' which you can now watch on YouTube.

Alice Cooper Live at Whisky A Go-Go
Press Release:
In the midst of the “No More Mr. Nice Guy” world tour, Alice Cooper will treat fans to a special performance at the legendary Whisky a Go-Go on Thursday, September 15 2011, 9:00pm. Cooper will take the stage of the legendary rock venue, on the Sunset Strip, for the first time since Alice Cooper the band performed there live in 1969 with Led Zeppelin.

"The Whisky had an option for a return engagement, but we got busy and it just slipped our minds.   No, seriously, the Whisky gig we did with Led Zeppelin is something we all talk about to this day.  It's going to be amazing to go back as a straight ahead LA bar band... We might even take requests.  I figure, if we could do it in London, we can do it at the Whisky.  And it's LA, so you never know who else might show up..."

Earlier this summer, Cooper played the world renowned 100 Club in London with special guest guitarist Johnny Depp and received rave reviews. The London Times gave the evening 4 stars, while Kerrang stated, quite simply, “Truly, this is an amazing gig, priceless. Every Alice Cooper fan deserves to be here”.

Cooper will be joined by Steve Hunter, one of rock's great guitarists; Tommy Henriksen who co-wrote much of the new release; bassist Chuck Garric; drummer Glen Sobel; and eminent guitar prodigy Orianthi, making her debut with the band.

The audience will hear some old school hits in addition to songs from his new album Welcome 2 My Nightmare, the long-awaited sequel to his 1975 classic Welcome to My Nightmare, which is released on September 13, 2011.

Tickets are available from the Alice Cooper Facebook page if any are still left.
