Hyde Park Freaks
The Washington Post, and Clash Music have the first reports we've seen from today's Freak Auditions in Hyde Park. Apparently the event was won by 'Girls Roc' who will join the band on stage at the Alexandra Palace show in October.

Pretty much every news source in the world seem to have picked up on Johnny Depp's appearance last night. Most obviously just repeating the same info we have already seen so no point listing them all (even if I could!).

Classic Rock have posted a short video of Alice talking about his favorite record.

Nights With Alice Cooper have posted audio of Bob Ezrin recalling the time he first met the original band.

MadMovies have posted footage from a press conference in France.

100 Club revisted
As everyone probably knows by now the band completely destroyed the 100 Club last night with a mixture of AC classics and British invasion covers that created the greatest rock and roll party London has seen in a long time. Actor Johnny Depp arrived on stage for 'I'm Eighteen' and 'School's Out' after AC.com posted teaser photos on facebook.  A great surprise but the real stars were Alice and the band who rocked like there was no tomorrow.
There's are plenty of personal reviews starting to appear in the forums and our own photos are up in the photo section if you want to check them out. There's already some press appearing as well with The SunThe Guardian, Entertainment Focus NME, and OnTheRedCarpet running features with some pics. More is sure to follow especially with the freak auditions today in London's Hyde Park.

Alice was also on 'Top Gear' yesterday. It's up on BBC iplayer but for those outside the UK it's also up on YouTube if you search (the original copy I linked to as been removed but there's likely to be others appearing).

Top Alice
Alice Cooper will be the "star in a reasonably priced car' in the first episode of the new season of the BBC's 'Top Gear' programme on Sunday 26th June at 8pm on BBC2. With this being one of the BBC's most viewed shows, and with Alice's love of cars, this should be a good one.

Also on the BBC, Legendary concert promotor Harvey Goldsmith appeared on BBC's 'Hard Talk' and spoke about Alice and his snake arriving in Glasgow back in the early days.

100 Club
Ticketmaster are now listing an extra London Alice Cooper show at the legendary 100 Club in Oxford Street on June 26th with tickets going on sale this Friday. However subscribers to the 02 phone network could buy two tickets for this show this morning and Live Nation also made them available.
Says Alice: “It’s been a while since we played such an intimate venue, but strip away the theatrics and we are a pedal-to-the-metal rock band, born in clubs like the 100 Club.  We play every show like that anyway and it will be fantastic to reconnect in that atmosphere. This show comes with a health warning ‘We don’t do acoustic, this will be loud’.”

Bulgaria Canceled
Acording to Novinite the June 21st Sonisphere show in Bulgaria has been canceled. "Due to reasons not in the control of Balkan Entertainment and after instructions of the owner of the license of the Sonisphere Festival in Bulgaria, we announce that the festival is cancelled," reads the statement of organizers."

Alice was back in London last night to present the Metal Hammer Golden Gods awards at the Indig02. Amusingly in a reversal of the current trend, Alice presented Rob Zombie with an award for 'Golden God'.

The Independent has an interesting article about the Classic Rock 'Fan Packs' highlighting the forthcoming 'Welcome 2 My Nightmare' release.

Classic Rock Nightmare
RockAAA.com had a few words with Alice at Download. According to Alice the new album 'Welcome 2 My Nightmare" will be released in a Classic Rock Magazine 'Halloween Survival Pack' which would likely be similar to the recent Slash, Whitesnake and Motorhead releases by Classic Rock which included the album in a book sleeve, a full magazine and other odds and ends.
According to AC.com the album will be released in September while Atmostfear have the following info:
"'Welcome 2 My Nightmare' features some other familiar faces from ooper's past. The original Nightmare tandem of Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner played on the album, while Vince Gill plays on a track called 'Runaway Train'. And surviving Cooper band members Michael Bruce, Dennis Dunaway and Neal Smith reunited on the track 'When Hell Comes Home'.
'Welcome 2 My Nightmare', meanwhile, will have plenty of similarities to its predecessor. "There are certain songs where we let some of the themes from (the original) 'Nightmare' slip in," Cooper tells Billboard. "All of a sudden you'll hear the little piano part from 'Steven' or from 'The Awakening.' I wanted (the albums) to be married together. I think we even make reference to a couple of characters from the original (album)."

Virtual Festivals have a short review of Download.

Download and Press
Download have posted an interview video from the festival site on YouTube. By all accounts Alice blew the place apart last night with a longer set then the Irish shows which included 'Halo Of Flies' and 'Hey Stoopid' which were cut from the shorter sets. Rock Industry has some photos up already.

Dick Wagner posted the following on his Facebook site regarding the forthcoming album:
"Played my first recording session since my heart attack this week-Alice Cooper's "Welcome 2 My Nightmare" - that's me & orchestra on "Underture." My song "Something to Remember Me By" is also on Alice's new album. I think its a hit. That would be a comeback blessing. Thks for the friendship & encouragement. Been a rough 4 yrs. You've all played an important part in my "comeback" to life & music. Love you, my friends."

Rocker Paris has a review and photos from the Paris show.

Lots of small mentions of Alice in the UK press as usual since he was in London. STV has quotes from Alice about 'X-Factor'. The Express has a few quotes. The Winnipeg Free Press also has a few words and The Star has a video interview with Alice. Bee Hive City has an articale about Kerrang awards.

More Kerrang
The BBC have a short video report from the Kerrang awards last night here. There's a piece and photo in tonights London Evening Standard as well, but most strange is a report from the awards by Heat magazine, which is so obviously made up. We all know Alice simply wouldn`t say that, and the pic is from the Hall Of Fame show.

Alexandra Palace now has a feature on the London Halloween show. As with last year there will be "freak" auditions held in Hyde Park on June 27th. Quote: "Auditions are June 27th in London’s Hyde park. Just like last year, go to alicecooper.com to submit audition tapes by June 22nd. Audition show producers Wake Up Productions will choose the line up and 3 acts will be picked by Alice and a panel of judges on the night to perform on stage October 29th at Alexandra Palace. There, the audience will decide the winner."

The Express and Star has an article about the Birmingham show.

Support for the UK shows comes from the New York Dolls.

Mirror Interview
The Daily Mirror has an interview with Alice today, based around the old Elvis story. It also mentions Alice will be receiving the Kerrang Icon award this Thursday (9th) in London, but of most interest is the last line of the article which states "Alice Cooper’s Halloween Night Of Fear tour hits the UK October 25-31". No other info has been released and this is of course unconfirmed at this point.

Jacket Stolen
Box setFrom Alice Coopers assistant KC:
