Keri Kelli and Chuck Garric will be playing with the "Big Ball Stars" in Hollywood on June 7th. You can get free tickets courtesy of the 'Remember the Coop' board if you email Barb at cookiegirl312@msn.com. Be quick as there are limited free tickets available.

Episode #2 of the Happypill 'Countdown to Kiss' video plog is now up on Youtube.

Many people may have noticed that the official website for 'Nights With Alice Cooper', has been offline for a few days.  This was due to an unexpected failure with the site's server. The site is apparently moving (or already has moved) to better, faster, and more dependable servers which hopefully will resolve most, if not all, the many problems the website and its forum had periodically, mainly slow or no connection to the site.

Ask Alice
UNCUT magazine are interviewing Alice soon for their 'An Audience With...' feature.  And they're after your questions!
So, is  there anything you've always wanted to ask the undisputed king of shock rock..?
What's his golf handicap these days? What was it like being a member of the Hollywood Vampires, along with Ringo, Keith Moon and Harry Nilsson? And just how much would a Billion Dollar Baby cost today, taking into account inflation and the current credit crunch?
The more interesting, funny and quirky will be put to Alice, and his answers will appear in a forthcoming edition of UNCUT.
Send your questions by Monday, May 26 to uncutaudiencewith@ipcmedia.com

A slideshow and some backstage footage of Alice hosting the 'Very Bad Movie Nights' on May 10th and 17th can be seen here.

Roxie and Jason News
Happypill (featuring Ryan Roxie) have a video blog online counting down to their big show with Kiss. The first installment is up now on youtube.
The band also have their second single, the excellent "36 Hours" available as a 'conscience free' download. As with their first single you can download the song free, and if you like it you can pay what you think it's worth. You can still by the real CD as well, which features both singles plus two remixes. All the info you need is here.
And if that isn`t enough Roxie for one day, we also have a new/old previously unpublished Roxie interview from waaaay back in 1996 courtesy of Alex Richter. In it Roxie talks about his first tour with Alice and how he joined the band among other things. Check it out here.

Guitarist Jason Hook has posted the following message about what he's been up to:
"Well we're half way through May and progress (on his new solo record) is slow.... I have finished three more songs (2 instrumentals and one cover). I'm trying to get everything finished before we leave on tour in July. New titles are "Bitterness, Hatred and Violence" and "Serial Kill-Her" . Overall, I would say this record is a lot darker than 'Safety Dunce'. I also recorded a version of "Big Time" by Peter Gabriel but done METAL style. It's very different from the original and will probably include a guest vocal."
MonkeyHead is an original project spawned by Jason Hook and singer Simon Davies. Their album was originally released in 2001 as a Japanese import but is now available from jasonhook.net as a digital download. click here to see more.

You can check out video of Alice performing 'No More Mr Nice Guy' at the Musicares ceremony on Youtube here.

You can see video of Alice being revealed as the 'Jackalope' (see news story below) here.

The Michael Bruce Group will be playing at 'Club Red' in Tempe, AZ on May 31st.

Ticketmaster is listing a new show for August 10th in Sioux City IA at the Orpheum Theatre. Tickets on sale 22nd May.

Then he encounters a femme fatale, the eighth intended victim, and falls in love, at which point the song 'Killed By Love' comes into play.
(Thanks ACAS27)

A couple more short clips of Alice interviewed at the Musicares awards have turned up on YouTube here and here.

There's an interview with Ryan Roxie in the latest issue of Swedish guitar magazine "Fuzz".

Small Articles
LA.com and Spinner have short articles about the Musicares Awards show. Virginmedia has a short piece with quotes from the same night.

Lastly at DigitalSpy, some band called 'The Zutons' claim Alice blocked up their toilet?!? Of course it wasn't Alice, but apparently a band friend in a mask.

On June 16th, Dennis Dunaway will sit in with 'Dimma' at their CD
release party in Reykjavik, Iceland. They will play Cooper tunes including "Halo of Flies" and songs from the forthcoming new Dimma CD entitled 'Stigmata', including "Desert Nightwish" which features Dennis and is based around a bass riff that Dennis wrote around the time of 'Killer' but was never finished.

Who is the Jackalope?
This week on Channel 3 Good Morning Arizona has taken a roadtrip in which they encounter a 'Jackalope' (which appears to be a guy dressed up in a rabbit suit?!?). There is also a contest to win an Itouch Ipod by guessing who's in the suit. Several clues were given away each day last week.
1. This local celebrity ran track at Cortez High School.
2. This famous person had an article in the school newspaper
entitled."Get out of my hair".
3. This Musician's first bands were "The Earwigs" "The Nazz" and "The Spiders".
And the possible choices were: Royal Norman, Brandon Webb, Shaquille O'Neal, Alice Cooper, Leslie Nielsen, Steve Nash, Eric Byrnes, Chris Parker.
Obviously the answer isn`t too hard for anyone reading this site!
Tomorrow (Friday May 9th) they will unveil the Jackalope and pick the winner of the Itouch. More info here, which also has a short video advertising the event and a pic of the 'Jackalope'.
(Thanks PsychoPat)

On Saturdays, May 10th and 17th Alice will be the guest host on   KTTU Channel 18 (USA), introducing two really bad movies: 'The Killer Shrews' (May 10th) and 'Attack of the Giant Leeches' (May 17th). More info about this can be found at Tuscon Weekly.

New show in Russia
According to a post on the official Alice Cooper MySpace page Alice will be playing July 21st in Kaliningrad, Russia at the Baltiskij Stadium.

There is apparently a TV advert running in the Vancover area that says Alice will be playing both September 18th AND 19th at the Center For Performing Arts. No other info has turned up to confirm this.
(Thanks David)

Alice's appearance on the German TV 'Chart Show' is now up on YouTube (Tommy Clufetos was standing in for Eric Singer). He also appeared on 'RTL'.
While on YouTube check out this previous unshown clip of Alice Cooper performing 'The Ballad Of Dwight Fry' on German show Beat Club in 1971. It recently showed up on a Swiss TV show "Vinyl" but only this 90 second part was shown. There's also a second short interview from the NME awards.

On May 5th Alice was back home in Phoenix for the annual golf tournement where he took the stage with Runaway Phoenix (Dash's band) to perform 'No More Mr. Nice Guy', 'Eighteen', 'Be My Lover', 'Lost in America' and 'School's Out' (with Damon Johnson joining them). PsychoPat has some pics.

Small Stuff
An update on the ticketing situation for the Redmond Show. According to the promotors " the concert will be "free" with paid fair admission, however you must have a pass to allow you into the concert. Those free passes are distributed through remote locations that The Twins 98.3 (radio station) set up starting Memorial Weekend until fair starts July 30. If you know someone in the area here that could drive to one of the remote broadcasts and pick up your pass that is the way to do it. The station will not give away passes out the door or through mail."
(Thanks Jean)

AZ Central has an article about the forthcoming Alice Cooper Golf Tournament here.

Wayne Kramer (MC5), Duff McKagan (Velvet Revolver) and Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) have been added to the list of performers at the fourth annual MusiCares MAP Fund benefit concert honoring Alice Cooper and Slash.

'All You Need Is Love', The seventies music documentary which features early footage of Alice Cooper, is released by Voiceprint on
Monday (a week later in the USA). The 5 disc set can be ordered from AmazonUK and AmazonUS.
